Me too pal but was a really nice place last time I was over.
Cheers mate, will have a look.Watched a game in the Riverside once. Seemed nice enough
Roebuck Tavern is ok and central, it has Sports TV. Sheff U are away next week so it shouldn't be too packed, when I worked over there it was popular with Blades fans pre-match.Dragged this thread up as I’m over there next Saturday & I wouldn’t mind finding somewhere decent to watch our lunchtime game at 12.30 and then the England rugby league semi final at 2.30.
Looking at these posts from a mere 12 years ago, seems like The Graduate, The Old Monk or the uni SU bar are best bets - that still the case do you know @liamctid @Dr.Faustus ?
Edit. The Graduate looks the better bet, as I see the Old Monk is no longer.
Broomhill Tavern good but a little out the centre, you can get a 120 or 51 to Broomhill from town.Cheers pal - will look it up.
I’ve not been to the city for years so I’m a bit out of the loop.
Went in to Sheffield after the Leicester game the other week. The Old Monk is now called Full Steam Ahead. Had one in the Graduate and they were showing the football, had one in The Globe too which was showing football (I think, was steaming by that time). There's probably some options up near West Street but sadly not been round there for a few years.Dragged this thread up as I’m over there next Saturday & I wouldn’t mind finding somewhere decent to watch our lunchtime game at 12.30 and then the England rugby league semi final at 2.30.
