Pulp Fiction

Does anyone think Vincent from Pulp Fiction and Mr Blonde from Reservoir Dogs are supposed to be brothers? They're Vincent Vega and Vic Vega respectively. It's too coincidental.

You're exactly right, both films exist in the same universe and there was talk of "The Vega Brothers" being put into production, but utimately got canned as both actors had aged too much to play younger versions of their respective characters.

A quick search on Google will also give you a rationale of how the film could still be made, and it involves the concept that both Vic and Vincent Vega had twin brothers who they'd never met, and who had never met each other, meeting on the same plane on the way to avenge their brothers deaths. Not sure if the idea was legitimately considered but it would be interesting and bizzare to say the least.

That's a bit far fetched for even a Tarrantino script. I just saw the Vega thing as a connection between the two films and then maybe other undiscovered connections in later films. I like loose sequels or trilogies.

Forget the wank Tarantino - best film ever is Pi. Directed by Darren Aronofsky. See it now.

Tarantino is not wank, Pi is not the best film ever and would at the very best be classed as average, life is about opinions and yours are utter shite

I've seen this 15-20 times and didn't know until last time I seen it Buscemi was the waiter. The daughter of Monster Joe truck and tow was married in real life to the Gimp too.

Never understood the animosity from Vincent Vega towards Butch though? If it was because he didn't like the idea of a sportsman throwing a fight he's hardly a bastion of moral virtue is he? What with him being a smackhead assassin

-- Sat Feb 15, 2014 3:27 am --

Opinions are like arseholes. Everybody has one and some are shittier than others.

True romance edges it for me but it is pretty close, kill bill 2 and jackie brown were watchable, he has not made too many duds apart from four rooms

An absolute masterpiece and a film I could watch for another few hours without getting bored. I especially like the fact that you notice something new each time. i.e. Steve Buscemi is the Buddy Holly waiter in the Vincent / Mia night out and Vincent criticises his service. This goes back to Mr Pink in Reservoir Dogs refusing to tip a dollar to the waitress.

Does anyone think Vincent from Pulp Fiction and Mr Blonde from Reservoir Dogs are supposed to be brothers? They're Vincent Vega and Vic Vega respectively. It's too coincidental.
Jesus.

That's not some film geek nonsense. They are completely obvious.

But so you get another stiffy, in Reservoir Dogs, there is an exchange between Joe Cabot and Mr White where they discuss a little "piece" called Alabama. That'll be the same Alabama, played by Patricia Arquette, from True Romance.

OMG!!! ITS TOO CO-INCIDENTAL!!!

Kevin Smiths first few movies are like that, kind of interweaving.
"Clerks" is a great film.
