Pundits who are actually decent

I saw a headline recently basically saying that Sly's viewing figures have dropped at an alarming rate. I didn't bother reading the rest of it but if it's true then maybe there's hope yet.

I know of a handful of people who have given up their subscription to SlySports because of the rag/dipper love-in and the utterly banal studio pundits (for want of a better word).

Personally I wouldn't have it in my hovel if it were free. It's a disgrace.
Good to see the viewing figures pre match at ht and after ........... i bet most fans whose teams come up against the red cartel just turn off at these times .............i mean how in all honesty can Neville and Spitty give a non bias view ..........to many of the fookers out there the majority being ex players of a club thats living in the past

Pat Nevin is pretty good I agree.

I really hope Joe Hart gets more opportunities, if that’s what he wants to do next of course.
Yeah, listened to the Barcodes v Robin Hood FC on the way to the game on Sunday. He's one of less than a handful who appear to have no axe that needs grinding, and we don't get the old teams he's played for rammed down yer throat and no attempt to denigrate another club. Very sound. He is clearly fixed on the game and the individual skills on display.

Mark Chapman hosting the Monday Night Club, always happy to see Nedhum on screen and impressed with Izzy Christiansen's insight

Unless they go on and on about how shit United are and what can be done to fix it then sadly they are simply no good

When I think about the pundits that are halfway decent, they tend to be peripheral and I haven’t seen much of them. Ned, Sue Smith, Izzy Christiansen, Karen Carney and maybe Courtney Sweetman-Kirk.

Not so much a pundit but commentator. Fletcher or ‘fletch’ as mc pointy likes to call him. Honestly never had any more of a cringy commentary ever in the history of football. He’s an absolute abomination of a commentator and so biased towards red shirted teams or anyone playing against us it’s as if he’s a fan boy of the opposition. It’s ridiculous and it literally ruins city games on tnt with him, camel gob and the rest.

Matterface is exactly the same, tossers the pair of them

Joe Hart is coming across well so far. Troy Deeney isn't that bad either. You tend to find the best ones are on Radio Five such as Nedum and Pat Nevin, both are intelligent and articulate which is more than you can say for all the Sky mob apart from Keane.
I love big Joe, but his co commentary is brutal. He never shuts up. :)

I remember for the World Cup in 2018 I believe, one of the channels had Drogba on as pundit. He was really good and knowledgable, never seen again. Contrast this to Henry who I don’t think says anything insightful who is on all the time.

Sky is primarily subscribed to by Boomers and Gen X’rs. The boomers are starting to if not die off, become poorer as things like the energy payments etc hit them as they retire, so Sky has to go.

Later generations are able to set up IPTV’s or do things like set a VPN up and create a Setanta Sports account in Ukraine for £2 a month which shows all the games.

Sky’s business model is fucked long term, and the Premier League will go the same way if they don’t offer direct to the consumer streaming at affordable prices with 3pm KO’s.

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are living testament to Socrates' bastardised observation that the only true wisdom is knowing that you they know nothing.

Can't be many who've shoehorned those three into one sentence....
and only one of them a world class player :)

Henry is wasted on the US CL program. He has insight that is ignored for the banter of the other two clowns.

When he comes on Sky over here, he’s by far the most tactically aware of the “normal” pundits.

It’s what Pep does to players.

I hate the Sky commentaries and pundits, I do watch City but keep the sound off.

Sickening to say but Keane. He says it as he sees it, might not neccesarily agree with it all the time but I respect his refusal to bend to the clichéd pundit routine and play the game. He is also very bitter about how he left united which is always funny to hear.

I could watch Keane all day. I like the Cork accent and it's hilarious when he starts ripping into the rags.

Buzzer's short but spectacular career as a Sky pundit puts him at the very top of the tree...

Strangely could only find this very short snippet of Buzzer's punchline. His complete monologue was fantastic.

Really showed up Yorke for the absolute moron that he clearly is...

And the next time we played at Old Trafford everything he said would happen did.
