A mate of mine is going watching Buzzcocks, Ruts DC and The Skids, asked me if i want a ticket. I think I'll give it a swerve because Buzzcocks aren't the same without Pete Shelley, Ruts DC without won't be the same without Malcolm Owen, even though i never got to see them as he tragically overdosed aged 25 in 1980. Also never seen the Skids because I only liked Into The Valley and Masquerade.

Not heard this track(about heroin) for yonks. B Side of Staring at the Rude Boys.

for me the best punk vocalist of them all
 
^^^^Wally overdosed just as the Pistols started their reunion tour in 1996.
Sid's mum also fatally overdosed (intentionally) around that time.
Lydon had been badmouthing Sid in the press.
Makes you wonder if they both were affected by the Pistols reunion.

Top lads, when we were out in the Gulf one of the lads wrote a fan letter to them, they sent him a load of tapes and other stuff. They were defo a squaddies favourite in the 80’s/90’s.
 
^^^ a lad I know sang for the macc lads for a bit relatively recently (including at blackpool festival) until the usual chap came back...
