Punk and New Wave thread.

Amazing how this thread has got to 184 pages, to be honest. How long was punk the in thing; 6 or 7 years ('76 to early eighties, when the new romantics became the next fashionable thing)?

There’s a theory that your favourite bands when you’re aged 20, remain your favourite bands for the rest of your life.

And there’s an awful lot of old cùnts on here in their 60s.

Cooper Clarke at the CO OP Live Arena tonight

Can't wait to see what it's like
We saw him about 6 months ago at The Lowry, great night out. Got to be honest he was starting to show his age a bit. Other people noticed it as well. It didn't spoil the show at all. Enjoy, as annoying people say.

£35 I think. Most of the venue was closed off I guess about 4000 were there

Anything approaching that number is pretty amazing to be fair.

Even in his heyday, which was about 100 years ago now, I’m sure he was only playing places like Band on the Wall.

Maybe I’m wrong about that? I dunno.

I saw him at GMEX in 86 in front of 9,000.

On a bill with New Order, The Smiths, The Fall, Pete Shelley, OMD etc etc
