Seen the name pop up from time to time on here but have no clue who they are are what they represent. I don’t read papers or watch the news, don’t do Twitter.
I’m guessing from blueinsa post they are some right wing head cases so I’ll carry on my little life giving them no thought whatsoever.

It is a conspiracy theory that Trump is fighting dark forces that sacrifice children and drink their blood in order to stay young. Tom Hanks and George Clooney are apparently blood drinkers.

It is sort of an extended paedophile ring that hides babies in tunnels, in the UK they hide them in tunnels under London.

It started on 4Chan which i assume is a forum just like this one where a load of cranks just like this one talk a load of shite just like this one.

It is all a bit bonkers, but there are true believers and i just want to meet one that isnt Andy Hinch.

I agree, but it is gaining traction in the UK.

Which is worrying in these times of the increase of anti-vax stuff.

I have noticed on twitter a rise in #savethechildren people, that is associated with QANON. When you dig a little deeper and find it is a far right conspiracy theory based on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion which was antisemitic i started to wonder who the fuck these people are.

There is also a number associated with them i have seen which is linked to the MAGA stuff. its something like WGA11.

It appears to be seeping into the UK consciousness alongside other theories as well. It is not something I am particularly aware of but I have made a list of people I expect to be believer's

They'll be some that are close

Anti maskers
Anti Vaxxers
Covid deniers.

This episode of Reply All about the origins of QAnon is really good for anyone interested in finding out more about what it is and what his game is. It's really crackers. Kind of started out as a bit of an injoke. Only 55 minutes long.

Also really enjoyed this entire New York Times series called The Rabbit Hole. It's a bit more general of a general look at how the internet affects people and how stuff like the YouTube algorithm is being exploited particularly by conspiracy theorists and right wing libertarians to radicalise people. Also talks about Gamergate, QAnon and stuff like that.
