QAnon

Trump is rounding up the elite nonces who get off on drinking a chemical in the blood which is most potent in the bodies of kids. He is part of a greater group called Q who JFK,Princess Di, and Wacko Jacko were part of, proven by their memorials all looking like the letter Q from the sky. Trump's best mate was JFK junior who faked his own death to go underground to expose the elite gang of kiddie fiddlers. According to one of their documentaries, Trump will reveal that JFK Jnr is still alive and he will show up and expose the noncery to all the world's media.
That's a good summary of what it is on the surface. This delves a little deeper on what's actually driving it and where the line is crossed from harmless crack-pots into something more sinister.

It's scary as fuck the more i go down this rabbit hole.
Aint it just. People need to be aware of just how dangerous this is.

The link from @roman totale shows it for what it is. No doubt some people will be happy with that, but fascism never goes away, it waits for an opportunity to sew discord and seize power. The UK has plenty of crackpots already going down that rabbit hole as well, exploited by brexit for instance. Lies became normalised and experts were ridiculed. There is so much dishonesty in politics it doesn't surprise me that people in the UK look for answer's. They are bombarded with propaganda and good men are made to look bad whilst bad men laugh and snigger at the chaos they are causing.

I mean things like Farage claiming millions of East Europeans and Turks would be in the UK if we remained in the EU. That sort of mindless propaganda leads people towards rabbit holes. Before people criticise me as a remainer, it is on record here that I am not, but I can see the propaganda for the baseless nonsense it is.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday trawling twitter for QAnon related stuff, it is no coincidence in my eyes that nearly all the UK based accounts trawling this rubbish had UK and US flags and were either pro Tiny Tommy ten names or Pro Brexit. I am not saying all the people who voted brexit are like this because there are plenty of rational leavers on here, but the extremists, fuck me they are dangerous.

And the dangerous thing is that people have increasingly lost the ability to think for themselves and apply critical thinking techniques backed up with facts or objective judgement. That, plus the easy availability of all this sort of nonsense on social media plus increasing inequality feeding discontent.

Even the BBC isn't immune. As City fans we see them pandering to the braindead red masses at both ends of the East Lancs, rather than be impartial and objective. I used to listen to Radio 5 Live mainly, particularly at breakfast time, but stopped when it became a relentless diet of Brexit, Brexit, Brexit, then Covid, Covid, Covid.

The other thing that made me hit the off switch though was their increasing tendency when discussing a subject to have two extremes discuss it, rather than someone without a pre-defined agenda who could give a balanced "on the one hand, on the other hand" type of view. They also seem to delight in having two diametrically opposed ordinary people, with no specialist knowledge of a subject, on a phone call shouting ill-informed diatribes at each other.

Then, when you complain, they claim they presented a "balanced" view with both sides of the argument, whereas I'd say two opposing extremes don't represent "balance".

And i agree, two extreme's a debate does not make.

A debate about the Moon's influence on tides with a Professor of Astrophysics and a bloke from Colchester who says it is made out of cheese is not balance.

Are you saying the moon isn't made of cheese?
