I do wish commentators, punduts and fans knew the rules. Offside is based on the last TWO players of the defending team and Sometimes the goalkeeper is not the last man.
Also you only get a red for NOT attempting to win the ball when bringing a player down when a penalty is given.

Commentators rarely know the rules, they know the results of meaningless matches 34 years ago.
