You have to see this in the scheme of chasing four trophies. If we were 10’points ahead in the league it might have been different.

Judge this result next Wednesday. I thought we played well and were very unlucky.

Have you ever seen a team change its normal style of play against a good team late in the season and win ? I'd rather see us do what we're absolutely brilliant at and fail doing our best than adopt a style we're clearly not comfortable with.

I’ve said it countless times it’s as if we are the foreign team playing an English side as in Italian,Spanish,German,and when it is us playing a team out of one of them,again it’s us who if you tuned in would think they were the English side bigging them up and fawning over them..As for the Delph challenge with Kane it will be media led they will want him somehow banned ..

To be honest I wouldn’t be too bothered if he was banned

Basically any one goal defeat that doesn't leave us in the precarious position of requiring three goals in the event spurs score just one.

Been far less hit and miss than Mahrez. We look a better, more balanced side with Sane and he hasn't played that much and so would be fresh. If we go on to beat Palace and knock out Spurs then all will be forgiven no doubt. But it is the 2nd season in a row that he has made mistakes in team selection in the QF of the CL. Last season it cost us dearly. I sincerely hope it won't this season.

In that case why play them in the FA Cup semi? Why did Pep prioritize that match over this one? We've got to get over this fixation with the domestic cups. PL and CL are the priorities not sure why Pep needs reminding of this.

No KDB can't play 90 mins twice in three days, but could he have played 45 ? He looked scarily good when he came on.

Mendy has played fuck all, all.season, sane should start and as.for mahrez a 1 legged man should start over him, he is dog shit

Spurs had a weeks rest b4 the game we had 3 days so pep I think decided we wouldn’t (couldn’t) play a high intensity pressing game and instead we’d sit in and play a possession game similar to anfield in the league. Mahrez is better suited to these tactics as he loses the ball less than Leroy.

Obviously if we had to win a game to save my life I’m picking Leroy over Mahrez but tonight I thought Mahrez did the job asked of him and did it well

Not read the thread, I can't bear the misery of it.

I'm not particularly upset about the match. We really ought to have been better, but they were at their absolute best and we contained them so well.

Otamendi was good, and Aguero was poor, but that aside I thought everyone else was ok. Therein itself is the problem; ok is not good enough.

When we're not at our best, we seem to have major issues with other teams's physicality. I do suspect this is the result of being in 4 competitions still. That's a bed we've made and we've had to lie in it.

All in all, we're only 1-0 down and we have to play them at the Etihad yet. Juventus were 2-0 going into the second leg against a better side than and made it through the last round. And so were Manchester United. Ajax overturned a home loss against Real Madrid too.

I'll be cheering City on and hoping for the best as always.

Agree with some above comments that Palace is now the biggest game of the season. We’ve got to break out of this torpor before it costs us everything.

Bc it's the CL and Aguero has a putrid record in the competition with PKs. Gundo is, I believe, 6 for 6 with one in a CL final.

Like I say, anything is possible when our players are on song but a loss to nil is not a good result at all and I remain concerned at our reluctance to make changes during the game.
