Because that’s a one off game which we had to win and did, we are still in this tie having tested our most influential midfielder

A one off game against poor opposition in a less prestigious competition as opposed to an away game against top 6 opposition in the CL. I know where I would have played my strongest team.

So we lost and it's very disappointing. It is true we have lost that sparkle in our play recently. And yes...the no away goal gnaws at you and you now fear that bloody away goal will come into play. Well now forget all that crap I have just said.

Guess what...we have some fantastic players who will be so up for the second leg. We don't need any negativity in the coming days...we need fight and determination and the will to succeed. Forget the past and just concentrate on giving your all to help the players a week tomorrow....end of rant. Come on City!!.

Are we really going to turn on Aguero now for a penalty miss? This is the type of turn coat stuff that has Messi walking away from his national team.

Players are human have faith Pep has yet to let us down. We are ten times the team we were it’s only half time.

I hope this gamble pays off like some of you believe it will. I am not sure if we really have been conserving energy or if we just aren't playing well atm. I don't believe that we will easily beat Spurs second leg all it takes is for a ref to fall for a dive or a fluky goal and we've shot ourselves in the foot by not chasing the away goal imo. Whatever happens I think we've made things harder for ourselves tonight.

Been far less hit and miss than Mahrez. We look a better, more balanced side with Sane and he hasn't played that much and so would be fresh. If we go on to beat Palace and knock out Spurs then all will be forgiven no doubt. But it is the 2nd season in a row that he has made mistakes in team selection in the QF of the CL. Last season it cost us dearly. I sincerely hope it won't this season.
Agree that Leroy has been better than Mahrez but the way Leroy plays is best suited to games where the midfield is hareing forward in support of him and maybe pep felt there wouldn’t be those spaces tonight nor did we have the energy
