Well, you've asked for opinions so here goes. Get her on a computer course or some other kind of hobby, but keep her off the music.......

Are you for real? Think you might need your ears syringed!

Wow!

Well I thought she sounded fantastic. You have a very talented daughter who has a talented mate and if I was you my head would be swelling with pride.

Britains Got Talent here comes little Ms Quagmire . . .

Fair enough, but ideally I'd look around for some record deals at this age. While she's very talented, fame is a cruel world for teenagers. That's why Britney Spears and Michael Jackson became the mysteries we know them as today.

Of course, in an ideal world your daughter would win it with flying colours and go on to be successful in every single way, and I really, really hope that happens (she could even promote My Juliet on a live TV broadcast! Haha).

You make the decision because it's your daughter - just keep her as down to Earth as she is now when the spotlight is on her :)

it's all very well and good but whats going to happen when her voice breaks ay?

Theres a few round my way need singing lessons, it's really good and not knowing anything about the music world I am not the right person to say whats good and whats not in the real sense, only to say she sounded a lot better then some of the talent!! we hear on TV on a Sat night.
Good luck to her.

What about getting her in the City Sq 'City Talent spot on match day' theres an idea for you. It came from me first :)

Well I listened to the whole thing... Surely this is a good sign?

The music industry isn't just about how good someone can sing though sadly :(
Unless she's ready to pimp her soul to sell records she won't make it.

Unless she goes down the Gallagher route and uses her "affiliation" to City, this will sell records (stick a city shirt on her for her next performance, bang it on youtube :D

For what it's worth - I am a music teacher, have a degree with vocal performance and have been a singing teacher a couple of years ago.

For 13 she has a good voice - tuning excellent and full of emotion but also with a couple of bad habits creeping in.

Definately you should get her vocal lessons - get her through the 'rock school' grades, she should breeze through them.

Her voice will not mature for another 2-5 years but with vocal lessons it will determine how strong she could be.

All the best and PM anytime
