Too funny

Here is a more link to the most recent stats collected and published.

I was a bit lazy and used 2014 stats from a guardian article because it was easily found on Google.

Regardless of the government, it’s everywhere. There’s upper crust wankers and also intelligent working class people who still believe it’s their place to doff one’s cap to some chinless **** because of a particular Surname or title

I dont think there is a class system in this country. The likes of Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Trent Alexander Arnold earn more money than those with titles.
LoL
If you don't think the is a class system in England try befriending members of the aristocracy at a Polo match or Fox hunt.

The likes of Sterling and Foden (as I'm sure you know) have earned their money with talent and hard work, none of them had it handed to them on a plate.

Why would I want to do that? The so called aristocracy at a polo match or fox hunt has fuck all to do with what I do or can do in life. I can be and do whatever I want. I can progress further than them in fame, finance and influence if I wanted to.

A class system denies you that freedom.

We are talking now, in 2021. All the jobs/roles you have mentioned are taken by the older generation. Those who went to Oxford and Cambridge in the 60s-80s. This is 2021, let’s see what those stats are like in years to come for those at “oxbridge” now or recently.

That Sutton Trust report says change is happening albeit slowly, well of course it will be slowly, you cant just oust people from positions because they were privately educated, they are still in those positions and will be for some time but their replacements will come from elsewhere other than the 7%.

I’ve just looked at the last 10 elected MP’s and according to the information provided not one was privately education. Only a small sample out of 650 but times are changing.

Of course we still have a class system in the Uk, but with a change from an industrial economy to a service one there is a bit more fluidity between the working and lower middle classes, with a new underclass created by successive government failures to support those at the lower end of the system.

Social mobility is still one of the lowest in the western world and an aristocrisy and elite that is 0.1% of the population still hold most sway.

The point I was making was that everyone should be born equal, then it's up to them what they achieve.
In the UK you can't be head of state unless you are born Royal.
In USA for example you can become it whatever your background.
I don’t think Native Americans would agree with that. I’d be confident enough to say that there will never be a Native American HoS in the US.
