Point is though, if you killed the national of another country, they could state reasonably that your "country" had just carried out an aggression that amounts to an act of war, and declare war on you.

I know Britain's navy has seen better days, but even so your country wouldn't last long against a 65,000 ton carrier and a bunch of F-35Bs. Assuming one of the two ships was in seaworthy condition though, so might be a fair few months before that happened, mind.

The solution is what someone suggested - Sentinel island.
It's not about having a "separate" country necessarily. Instead, you have to make a case that someone entering your territory poses risk to you, maybe because of illness and auto immune deficiency. Therefore, anyone entering your land (like the idiot missionary at Sentinel island) would be fair game.
