Question for the "Hughes Out" Campaigners

Whenever a club comes under new ownership, more often than not the incumbent manager may come under a bit more pressure as he is 'not their man', so to speak. Just as Mark Hughes and Garry Cook were Thaksin's appointments, I have no doubt that the ADUG will be reviewing both of their positions in the summer. This doesn't mean to say that they'll both be sacked, but it will indicate that the ADUG are about to embark upon huge changes in how our club is run. What we have seen so far is a statement of intent but not a lot has changed. The ADUG are clearly marking off the days until the end of the season.

In sum, whatever they decide to do with Hughes - keep him or send him packing - they will get my support. By nature, Arabs don't do failure. In these exciting times, they have my trust.

The thing is, these blues that are defending Hughes are generally doing it out of blind loyalty. If he was sacked in the summer and someone like Mourinho or Riijkaard came in I reckon 95% would be delighted. Hughes shown nothing before he was manager here to be given such a big job and has shown nothing since being given it. If anything this job is doing more harm than good for his reputation.

Blind loyalty? What utter rubbish! The Blues not wanting yet another knee jerk change of manager are of that opinion because they understand the building process that is going on and would like to give the current regime a fair and proper chance at the job in hand.

Having the opinion that Hughes isn't good enough or not liking him is one thing but claiming to know what 95% of people with a different view are thinking is actually just stupid and extremely arrogant!

I would hardly call it a knee jerk reaction.

We lost to away Brighton (Div 1 relegation candidates) in the Carling Cup

We lost at HOME to Forest (Championship relegation candidates) in the FA Cup

We've won 1 game away from home in the league all season

We got knocked out of the UEFA cup the first time we met decent opposition.

Our league position is worse than last season...
