Question Time

Crap comedian.
Clever woman from The Times.
Typical lib dem calling for a 2nd referendum (no chance).
Smug Emily Thornbury allowed to rant on .
Con MP not allowed to respond to Thornbury's bullshit.
Well done to Fiona Bruce for showing her and the BBC 's left wing and anti Brexit bias.
Bring back Robin Day.

No way,,, I thought it was Caroline Quentin

The exchanges between Owen Jones and Andrew Neil/Portillo that followed Question Time in 'This Week' were quite tasty. It follows his video about his confrontation with extremist thugs outside parliament and spills over into a long running personal feud it seems.

"Sorry bunch of fascists".
"pound shop black shirts".
"rise of fascism aided and abetted by mainstream media".
"Privileged white people".
"Normalised the language of the far right".
"conflate far right harassment with all forms of protest and Peaceful civil disobedience".
" The far right is a menace".
"responsible for numerous filled terror plots"
"real and present murderous threat".

Jones is a horrible little man who is one of the worst agent provocateurs of our time. Everyone right of him is a fascist and everyone who's opinion is different to his is wrong.
He stirs up hatred and then retreats to the shelter of victimhood. Portillo described him perfectly.
Neil correctly put some context to his hysterical description of the British political landscape and his false description of the impact of media on the political landscape.

And Jones when cornered with no other out turns on Neil. Hilarious.

He’s absolutely right about those who abused him and Anna Soubry in the street though.

I don’t like Jones but Goddard and his crew are fascist thugs.

He was, but it's his inability to see it from his own side that is the thing. When the Shadow Chancellor says “I want to be in a situation where no Tory MP, no Tory or MP, no Coalition minister can travel anywhere in the country or show their face anywhere in public without being challenged by direct action.” then just singling out one side as Jones does repeatedly is why he's very much part of the problem.

I much prefer this venerable Marxist to Corbyn's controllers - he nailed the issue on Newsnight earlier this week

Andrew Neil is best political commentator on TV

No he really isn't, doesn't like real debate, hence why along with portillo he jas some new labour plank on who will just agree with what the other 2 say.

This week was a really good political weekly round up show 4-5 years ago with O'Neil quite ballanced, now it's a parody of itself with O'Neil now seemingly untouchablable to the beeb in setting his agenda.

I agree with that.

Jones called Jonathon Pie in an interview right wing, Pie corrected him several times and said that he’s centre ground but Jones just kept talking to him as if he was a Back Bench Tory like Rees-Mogg.

Pie was just talking about identity politics getting out of hand and being focused on too much, Jones couldn’t believe it and reacted as if he was pushing the EDL.

I think he’s a complete tit but that doesn’t mean some of those who criticise him the most aren’t fascists.

Did he really? What an idiot. Jones is spectacularly intolerant of anyone who doesn't buy into everything he believes, and casts around names and abuse - then reacts like a slapped child if anyone fires back at him. He's been gunning for Andrew Neil ever since he handed Jones his arse on a plate on a previous This Week about economics. Owen Jones made a complete fool of himself and got called out on it.

And yes, absolutely - the far right are vile. The trouble with Jones is that he thinks he's anyone who challenges him is far right.

I agree with all that but I don’t like Andrew Neil either.

Haven’t watch the interview, will do when I get back later tonight.
