Question Time

Murrisson the **** promising new homes for the young to buy - there have been 7 new housing developments in the small town in live in over the last 5 years - a drive around shows you just about all the 2 bed and a lot of the 3 bed homes have key safes on the wall next to the front door. That tells you they are not occupied by local young families

Tory getting pasted once again.
It‘s no wonder central office won’t send the big guns out to face this kind of humiliation.

what gets me is the supine stance of the chinless wonders who agree to go on telly and be a human shield for the useless fuckers at the top. If you were going to win the next election - if you were going to retain your seat - I could understand it as there may be a reward at the end of it but a deposed govt offers you fuck all

They probably wouldn't go on just before an election as they'd be worried that the electorate would see them as they really are - going on after the election is won isn't an issue for them as they can say what they want for the next 5 years.

First time I’ve watched it in a long time, very different feeling. Really does feel like, regardless of the culture wars or anything else they try, the conservatives have allowed the inequality of wealth to go way too far and they’re screwed. A diversion tactic can only work if people aren’t more worried about the situation they’re currently in and they’ve fucked that up completely.

You don't need a licence to watch IPlayer as long as you are not watching anything live.

Either way, licence or not you cannot view iPlayer outside the UK (I don't know if you can watch it with a VPN)

Not true. You need a licence to use iplayer. They changed the rules several years ago.

Some VPNs may work but they probably also deploy tools to detect if one is being used.

They know they are going to be well and truely toasted at the next election, so why bother putting someone on our screens we have heard of?

!3 years of hurt, and audiences, not only on this weeks programme, but earlier ones as well, aren't falling for their bullshit anymore. Their destruction of public services that have impacted millions in so many adverse ways hasn't gone unnoticed, and that frustration with the most useless government in our history was plain to see in the audience reaction to Fiona Bruce asking if anyone agreed with the governments policy regarding asylum seekers.

Not one person put their hand up.

It's their headline policy, and the tory was, as you say, destroyed by a cross section of society that have bigger concerns.

We have to remember it wasn't too long ago every tory MP voted in favour of keeping children from poor homes hungry during the school holidays. Free school meals would cost too much, they said, but there wasn't a peep from them as they noddded their heads in agreement that millionaire pension allowances should be increased, costing the Treasury £1B in lost revenue.

It's a fucked up country in so many ways at the moment, but the response tonight from the audience, as it has been for the last few months, gives me hope realisation is growing that we have a bunch of clowns governing us, and they are 20 points behind in the polls for a reason.

Watching it now.

Noticed that Nelson said that the agreement with Albania had seen numbers drop off dramatically.
Murrison, the MP, said "if we see the drop off.."

My money's on Nelson overstating things.

I have met John Sentamu on a few occasions - by coincidence he was Chancellor of York St John when my lad went to Uni there and he held the same post a few years later when my daughter was at Cumbria - all I will say is my overall impression was he was a thoroughly kind and decent bloke - should go without saying but you know at one stage Brexit Tories had him branded as one of the enemies of the people
