Question Time

Slacking you didn’t get fascist and hitler in there. How many of these economic refugees have the govt let in?
What economic refugees? We haven't let in any of those in Farage's breaking point poster if that's what you meant.

'Uncle Nige' cringe.

He is awful. The lowest form of politician.

He hasn't even got a manifesto - seems like a vote for him is like writing an open cheque... i don't know if any other politician has ever stood for election without a manifesto before?

i wouldn't say he's awful, he is amusing in some ways - particularly when he goes off on one at the EU :)

He's (somehow) managed to distance himself from the bongo-bongo land and other racist remarks with a rebranded Tory Lite...

For what it's worth, i don't think he's any lower than the next politician, they are mostly cut from the same cloth. i certainly don't feel that he is any more trustworthy than the next politician who all seem to be more out for what they can gain rather than what they can give.

Is he any more or any less awful than May, Johnson, Gove, Corbyn or Abbot?

Just like all the others he tries to tell the electorate what they want to hear.

So I say the poster should be more concerned with our current politicians in govt. he says they are not as bad as Farage who doesn’t want the guys shown in that poster to get into the country. You have just admitted our sitting govt haven’t let any in. So the govt and Farage seem aligned.

With regards 1930’s nazi propaganda I’m not as clued up,hell let’s be honest, not as obsessed with the nazis as that particular poster.

Like the Baker thread people making presumptions that others have the same knowledge or mindset as there own is folly and lacks balance.

Don’t come on here and be all sensible, pick a side and defend it damn you:-)

I did I needed confirmation of what he sees in that poster. Asylum seekers or economic refugees. I’m still waiting.
I'll believe you're genuinely asking. Is someone coming from a war zone an asylum seeker or an economic refugee (the latter being a deliberately dismissive phrase that covers from someone not wanting to starve to someone offering their skills to other countries that need the skills)?

Whether Farage (or the photographer) knew about the similarity with Nazi propaganda films is debatable but it was clearly nothing to do with Brexit as they weren't coming here.

Thanks for admitting you're not clued up about it (usually a prerequisite for having an argument). Have a read.

The poster itself was a very simplistic anti immigration poster. In 2016 it’s not unusual for anyone to not be clued up about a poster made some 40 years before they were born. Remainers don’t like Farage because he is a leaver, it’s as simple as that. They are participating in their own propaganda but they don’t see it.

We have 1000’s of posts on this never ending shit. Farage will not make policies in this country. Now 2 years ago lots of people died horrifically in the Grenfell fire. Another one could have happened at any time because this bastard govt couldn’t be bothered spending 200 million quid. The planet is going to shit and this has been known about for decades.

But people would rather call Farage a nazi a hundred times and then claim he’s worse than our big two parties. People would rather claim they know the inner workings of Danny Bakers mind than talk about the environment.

I used to think the USA was the most fucked up colour obsessed country in the world but Bluemoon off topic pisses all over it.

I’ll ask again is it the one showing young male economic refugees? It’s a simple question.
It was a group of people crossing the Croatia Slovenia border. Absolutely nothing to do with the UK, but the image was very similar to one used as Nazi propaganda that was shown in a documentary a few years ago.
From the subsequent discussion you are clearly defending his use of it, so you have answered my question.
