Question Time

The Green Party has MP's - LD'S have MP's - even Reform Ltd has MP's so instead they invite David Cameron's sister-in-law on - total joke these days

They always have one non MP on, some give a good outside perspective at times.

Too many of them are like Sheffield was last night, come with an agenda and no real extra insight. It's good when someone on the panel has a specific area of technical expeetise but the journalists and 'political commentators' are mostly a waste of time.

Oh Dear other parties bad mouthing both deals but as opposition Parties they have no ability to "negotiate from a position of strength" but not explaining how. This is Arteta levels of "we would have won the league/cup " disillusionment

I nearly switched the TV off when I saw the smirking face of Tice being introduced. He is one of the most irritating interrupters I have ever known in public office, but I stuck with it, and he didn't disappoint me with his usual disdain for everyone with an alternative opinion.

He is an unsufferable twat of the highest order, and was rightly told to shut the fuck up on numerous occasions, but what amused me the most was seeing the look on his face when an audience member told him his stance on green energy and net zero was just a sop to the oil companies buying him off.

The usual word salad fell out of his mouth after that, as it usually does with with any point of fact that is put to him.

'I visited the steelworks in Scunthorpe with nigel farage to show my support for the workers there'.

You may well have done, so why did you vote against the Employment Rights Bill currently passing through parliament then?

Man of the people my arse.

Tice loves to try and talk over people putting him on the back foot

This exactly sums it up. Brexiteers leaving the EU on the grounds that we can be 'free to trade with the rest of the world' but when those trade deals come around, they moan about them. Well except for the one with America. It's almost as if it had nothing to do with trade and was actually just good old-fashioned xenophobia all along.

I didn't want to leave Europe but once we did anyone with any intellect knew it would take this country 20+ years for the country to climatized recover from it! Why at the time no one was pushing why we had to stay in Europe I don't know and then Covid came along it has fcuked this country up for a generation or more..

Anyone who voted for or has any time for the likes of Tice really needs to give their head a wobble. He was nothing more than an irritating bully. I can't wait for him and his like to be invited again as it will quickly show people what real grifters they are.

Totally agree. He’s a condescending prick of the highest order

A bit like Starmer when he was in opposition eh?

Forever telling anyone that'd listen that he was going to "smash the gangs" but never any detail, except that he'd create a Border Force..... and 10 months in... where are they? All I do know is the numbers of people crossing on boats is increasing, the very thing the "smash the gangs" slogan was designed to stop...

Go ahead call me the usual Right Wing Racist ****, Reform Supporter etc.... etc... just because I am questioning Labours self promoted policy!

it is nigh impossible to think of any solution to this problem which would be acceptable to all parties. Smash the gangs was an absurd idea as many are based overseas and as we all know from the drug trade smash one and another one will pop up. Shipping them back to France will not work either as no dockers will let any boats land and discharge their cargo. As long as we continue to 'house' them they will continue to come and given their general lack skills they will offer nothing but a large pool of cheap unskilled labour and provide Reform with a topic to whip any governing party. In summery we are screwed

Easiest way is, of course, to reverse Brexit. Over half of the ‘boat people’ have claimed asylum in another European country, prior to coming here and, whilst in the EU, they could have been returned, immediately, under the Dublin III agreement and it is cited by many of the smugglers as the biggest incentive to get to Blighty.

What is laughable though, is the Johnson and his ‘let’s get Brexit done’ bollocks never once did an impact assessment of what leaving Dublin III ould involve and, because no politician ever seems able to admit a mistake, they just piled on, regardless.

What’s even more laughable is that you don’t actually need to be in the EU to have a returns agreement but, because we wanted ‘sovrinty’ we just chucked the whole thing in the bin.

They say we get the politicians we deserve but we’ve been scraping the bottom of the barrel for a few years and, sadly, that trend looks set to continue..

Gen Z special tonight discussing how tough life is for youngsters. Only one panel member is under 45 and the average age is 48. Unsurprisingly they one with the most sensible knowledge and life experiences is the You Tuber in his 20's

Somebody who leads in low standards, keeping people down from being their best. Her mantra seems to be to educate people to be subservient, know your place, rather than getting the best out of the people that we have.

Is she Tory?

NB. Where is Labours plan for education, including a ‘Skills plan’?
