Questions from Sunderland forum

Mancini appears to have had a profound impact on your team, how do you rate your chances for 4th place?[

.outside at best,we may scrape it,but i think well be about 6th/7th.

Sunderland's Chairman, Niall Quinn, once wore the sky blue of Man City, what did you think of him as a player, and given his success at SAFC, are you disappointed he left?

no not really,he done us a good job,an i like the bloke, wish him all the best in the game!!

Which Sunderland players do you think could complement your squad? benjani....haha

On the whole, how do Man City fans feel about the whole John Terry/Wayne Bridge fiasco? Is it right that Bridge has turned his back on his country?

couldnt give a toss really, think jt is a tosser like his mate cashley, both class 1 tossers who dont deserve to play for england!! bridge is a bit of a baby,i would grip jt an put a verbal in on him, listen twot...you aint gonna stop me playing !!!

Your away form has been a bit hit and miss this season, do you fancy yourselves to take all three points at the Stadium of Light?

no not really,it all depends on whether the real city turn up,or the bag of shite that we have got used to lately...

This summer will be interesting for Manchester City, pick three players you would have at your club and why.

gerrard, but theres no chance of that!,milner, cos he is top drawer, and dirk kuyt cos he is a worker!!

Do you think you are capable of winning the league next season?

nope!!..hopefully try to make an assault on the top four again,an get closer!!

Mark Hughes was sacked after the last meeting between these teams, did you agree that was the right thing to do at that time?

not the way they went about it,but fook him hes a rag anyway,an the welsh tafia upset all the bloody players.

Are you happy overall with Manchester City's progress the past few seasons?

...what progress?? we aint done anything yet!..although im glad we are not involved in the relegation battle,so that is progress really haha

Who has been your player of the season?

tevez for me,his workrate is fantastic, respect to the man!!!

Who was your man of the match from the last game?

old ugly chops again, carlos is a worker, top man!!

Do you believe it's possible that Manchester City will be a bigger club than Manchester United in the forseeable future?

yep,no doubt,we will close them down an take their mantle, but not overnight...tick tock!!

Mancini appears to have had a profound impact on your team, how do you rate your chances for 4th place?
Currently i reckon we've got a great chance, but i feel our game against Tottenham will have a big hinderence on whether we'll get it or not. If we can get a good run of form going, and we play with high morale and enthusiasm up until the end of the season, i don't see why not.

Sunderland's Chairman, Niall Quinn, once wore the sky blue of Man City, what did you think of him as a player, and given his success at SAFC, are you disappointed he left?
As the previous person stated i'd rather have the current owners, but i do always think of Quinny as our own.

Which Sunderland players do you think could complement your squad?
Personally i've always rated Lee Cattermole as well as Lorik Cana from Sunderland. Bent don't get me wrong is a fantastic striker but his consistency makes me question whether he would in total compliment the current crop of players.

On the whole, how do Man City fans feel about the whole John Terry/Wayne Bridge fiasco? Is it right that Bridge has turned his back on his country?
I do question his decision purely based on the possibility of him still being around for the next world cup etc, however as one of our own we have to respect his decision, and team bridge all the way.

Your away form has been a bit hit and miss this season, do you fancy yourselves to take all three points at the Stadium of Light?
I think it's the only option at this late in the season, especially taking into account points are vital on our quest for fourth place. I certainly fancy our chances, taking into account apart from your win against Bolton, your form hasn't been in particularly fantastic.

This summer will be interesting for Manchester City, pick three players you would have at your club and why.
John Terry, just for a laugh. No, in all seriousness i'd have Eden Hazard, purely based on my belief he is definetly the next best thing, and i rate him in a similar position to when the rags bought Ronaldo. If we were prepared to pay out for him, i reckon he would be a fantastic signing. Secondly, i'd love to see the signing of another quality centre forward. In a perfect world i'd love to see David Villa, but i'd happily take Eden Dzeko, who has been prolific on many ocassions for Wolfsburg during his career. Finally, i'd like to see someone like Mertesacker to help strengthen our defence, for the aging Kolo Toure.

Do you think you are capable of winning the league next season?
Depends how we spend in the summer, and who is at the helm. Then i'll be able to give you a proper answer.

Mark Hughes was sacked after the last meeting between these teams, did you agree that was the right thing to do at that time?
At the time i believed it was the only possible option, based on the amount of points lost in draws against teams such as Fulham/Burnley at home, in games we should have achieved three points in. However, i'm one of the negative blues on here, and i'm not entirely sure on Mancini.

Are you happy overall with Manchester City's progress the past few seasons?
Certainly. Bit dissapointed with the latter end of last season taking into account how far we got in the UEFA Cup to be narrowly knocked out by Hamburg in such a late stage, and then missing out on a European place. But remember, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Who has been your player of the season?
Carlos Tevez without a doubt. Second to none.

Who was your man of the match from the last game?
Jeez we're going back a bit here. Who was our last game... ah how could i forget. Chelsea. Definetly had to be Bellamy on that day, or Bridge/Tevez. For individual reasons they all played well.

Do you believe it's possible that Manchester City will be a bigger club than Manchester United in the forseeable future? Yes. Tick, Tock. The so called noisy neighbours are knocking on the door, and times are changing.

Mancini appears to have had a profound impact on your team, how do you rate your chances for 4th place?

If we beat Spurs and Villa at home, very good. As Bobby Manc would say "this is most important"

Sunderland's Chairman, Niall Quinn, once wore the sky blue of Man City, what did you think of him as a player, and given his success at SAFC, are you disappointed he left?

Quinninho once signed my program 3 times in one go so obviously a legend in my eyes. Helps that he is so biased towards City when he's a pundit on City games.

Which Sunderland players do you think could complement your squad?

Darren Bent

On the whole, how do Man City fans feel about the whole John Terry/Wayne Bridge fiasco? Is it right that Bridge has turned his back on his country?

Terry is a twat. Bridge turned his back on Terry, not a country.Bridge can do what he wants as far as Im comcerned - non of my business

Your away form has been a bit hit and miss this season, do you fancy yourselves to take all three points at the Stadium of Light?

We've just finished doing the double over Chelsea so no, not really. I don't think we'll get beat tho. Who knows? this is City.

This summer will be interesting for Manchester City, pick three players you would have at your club and why.

If we get 4th place - Maicon (all top sides have good attacking fullbacks - Richards is a CB anyway in my eyes), Sneijder (we need that bit of creativity in midfield), Torres (nuff said)

Do you think you are capable of winning the league next season?

With the above players - yes. It'd at least be a 3-4 horse race anyway

Mark Hughes was sacked after the last meeting between these teams, did you agree that was the right thing to do at that time?

Yes, but not on a match day.

Are you happy overall with Manchester City's progress the past few seasons?

Last season was abit dissapointing due to the away form. This season very happy. Overall, pretty satisfied.

Who has been your player of the season?

Tevez just pips Bellers for me. Absolutely in love with the little argie

Who was your man of the match from the last game?

IMO, Barry.

Do you believe it's possible that Manchester City will be a bigger club than Manchester United in the forseeable future?

We'll have a better team, which is all that matters really. I can take or leave the 5 million Thai fans

Mancini appears to have had a profound impact on your team, how do you rate your chances for 4th place? I think it's ours to lose... games at home vs Spus and Villa will be vital.

Sunderland's Chairman, Niall Quinn, once wore the sky blue of Man City, what did you think of him as a player, and given his success at SAFC, are you disappointed he left?Slightly before my time but have met him on a couple of occasions and he seems a nice, genuine bloke. Looks like hes doing a good job at Sunderland

Which Sunderland players do you think could complement your squad? Tricky one... I don't think we need any players from Sunderland tbh. Not too say they don't have good players, just that we don't need them

On the whole, how do Man City fans feel about the whole John Terry/Wayne Bridge fiasco? Is it right that Bridge has turned his back on his country? Think Terry confirmed himself as a t**t. I don't think Bridge has done himself any favours by not playing for England but I can understand why he's done it. Obviously it wasn't easy for him so at the end of the day, its his decision and hes done what he thinks is for the best

Your away form has been a bit hit and miss this season, do you fancy yourselves to take all three points at the Stadium of Light? Well the result vs Bolton brought mixed feelings. Usually when teams haven't won for ages they beat us so was glad you won. However, 4-0 will give the players and fans a massive confidence boost which could work against us. BUT, our last result was special and if the players haven't lost the momentum then I think we should expect to win. A draw will be disappointing considering the position we're in and a loss will be unacceptable. I think we'll win 3-1.

This summer will be interesting for Manchester City, pick three players you would have at your club and why. Messi, just because he oozes class. Xavi because of his world class creative abilities in the middle which I think we've been lacking this year. And, Micheal Essien because I think he is a step up from De Jong (even though I think De Jong's been immense this season) but I think he'd compliment our team nicely.

Do you think you are capable of winning the league next season? With the right signings in the summer, yes. If we had won the games we should have won (with the squad we have) i.e. Hull, Burnley, Fulham at home and Bolton, Hull and Wigan as well then I think we could have been in with an outside shout this season but hopefully next season, the squad will be strong enough to challenge the scum, chelsea and arsenal. We' ve already proven we are as good as those on our day, so we just need a bit of consistency and we I reckon we can be genuine title contenders.

Mark Hughes was sacked after the last meeting between these teams, did you agree that was the right thing to do at that time? Probably. the run of draws we had was unacceptable and I honestly dont think we would have reached our full potential under Hughes.

Are you happy overall with Manchester City's progress the past few seasons? I suppose the two season before this one could have been better. Sven had a great start with Thaksin's money but then we went to pieces in the last half. Then the takeover last year came on the last day so Hughes didn't have enough time to spend it. Plus the UEFA Cup run was a distraction last year. However, with the players we signed in the summer, I think we should have done slightly better this year. Again the run of draws wasn't good enough but now, things are looking up. The team look to be gelling well I think next season, we will reach our full potential.

Who has been your player of the season? I think it's a close run thing between Bellamy, Tevez and Given. Bellamy has been a huge hit and gives the team and fans alike a boost with his passion and energy but he hasn't played as many games as I'dve liked due to his knees. Given is a great shot stopper but questions have been asked about him commanding his area and coming for crosses etc... so I think due to his 21 goals, rejecting the rags and never-say-die attitude, its got to be Tevez.

Who was your man of the match from the last game? Against Chelsea, everybody was man of the match.

Do you believe it's possible that Manchester City will be a bigger club than Manchester United in the forseeable future?Yes. We have money, they don't. The sky's the limit for us at the moment. The club as a whole is on the up and under the Glazers, they seem to be on the decline. When Fergiescum leaves, I think that will be a huge turning point for them. In a few years, everybody will realise there is only one club in Manchester

Mancini appears to have had a profound impact on your team, how do you rate your chances for 4th place?

It's ours just like our City

Sunderland's Chairman, Niall Quinn, once wore the sky blue of Man City, what did you think of him as a player, and given his success at SAFC, are you disappointed he left?

Yes, but his disco pants are still at the club.

Which Sunderland players do you think could complement your squad?

none

On the whole, how do Man City fans feel about the whole John Terry/Wayne Bridge fiasco? Is it right that Bridge has turned his back on his country?

Terry is a **** and his wife is a stupid git for staying with him, Bridge and England its upto him.

Your away form has been a bit hit and miss this season, do you fancy yourselves to take all three points at the Stadium of Light?

yes

This summer will be interesting for Manchester City, pick three players you would have at your club and why.

Uwe Rosler
Paul Lake
Andy Morrison

Do you think you are capable of winning the league next season?

Yes

Mark Hughes was sacked after the last meeting between these teams, did you agree that was the right thing to do at that time?

He shouldn't have got the job to start of with he's a rag, would you like Alan Shearer at Stadium Of Plight

Are you happy overall with Manchester City's progress the past few seasons?

yes very much so - Wycombe away and a cold wet night springs to mind and Mansfield at home in cup too

Who has been your player of the season?

Bellamy

Who was your man of the match from the last game?

Bellamy

Do you believe it's possible that Manchester City will be a bigger club than Manchester United in the forseeable future?

yes

Thanks mate, same with your club as well, hope you can nick fourth place from Liverpool.

Quinn left cus we had been relegated and had probably fallen out with Alan Ball (90% of our squad had) and his reason was that he had played his best football under Reid at City, which was true.

We did not have Walsh, Rosler and Quinn for 2 positions as Ball had got shut of Walsh a year earlier.
