For example: After Vincent Kompany scored that goal for City against Leicester Kelechi Iheanacho was clean through with the chance to make it 1-1 and probably deny City the title. Did he put it high and wide on purpose for the sake of his former club? Or did he just bugger it up?

There'd be things to ask footballers of other clubs to divulge too, of course - did Harry Kane regretfully tell his missus "sorry, dear, we won't be living in Cheshire" when his move to City didn't happen?

Any other stuff in similar vein from the recent past or long ago?

To Dave Whelan

You had a good career in football, playing in an FA Cup Final once I believe. What was the worst injury you ever had?
Or when Dave Ewing & Bill Leivers (was it?) helped Trautmann off the pitch at Wembley in 1956 did they say to him "Just nod yer head if it still hurts, Bert"?

Martin Petrov “Can you play left back?”

Kalvin Phillips “Did you believe it when you heard City wanted to sign you?”

Nigel De Jong “Did you mean to stamp on Alonso chest in World Cup Final?”

Andy Hinchcliffe “ As an ex Manchester City player why do you hate Manchester City so much?”

Ryan Giggs “After becoming the most successful football player in Premier league history what motivated you to beat your wife and have sexual relationship with your brothers wife?”

To Wayne Rooney.....

Hi Wayne, I've been on Eggheads, would you go on a TV quiz show and if yes, which one?
Erm, erm, erm. Sod the quiz show, i wanna be on Super Gran.

"Hang about, look out for Super Gran".

I could adapt the lyrics to be amusing but I'll probably get in trouble so better not; )

this one is for James Milner

why did you really let your City contract run down and then sign for Liverpool on a free, as I don't but it's down to lack of gametime

Niall quinn…

What went through your mind when you walked back into the dugout after getting showered after being subbed on the last day of the season v liverpool to see steve lomas playing for a draw when you knew we needed a win

1.How did all those rag fans coincidentally manage to buy seats all in the same blocks for the 5-1 1989 derby?
2. Why did we agree to take £1m hush money over the hacking of our scouting network
3. Why did we put David James up front when we had a striker on the bench, was it for a betting syndicate?
4. Why did Coppell leave so quickly
5. Brian who?

I doubt the players know the answer to this
