Queues

I’m not trained up in mobile scanned tickets, but reading this thread has made me ask a question.

It seems that people had to show a barcode when their NFC didn’t work. This barcode isn’t available on Apple unless QR was meant.

Did anyone with an Apple device have an issue getting in?

On Android (Google Pay) just under the image of the season card there's a 'Show code' text line. Clicking that brings up the barcode and the phone is actually inserted into the reader with the barcode facing up.

I think it might be different on iPhone Apple Pay.

Not sure how to get a screenshot on my phone.

Are you able to do it contactless on Google Pay or do you have to insert it into the reader with the barcode? I assumed you had to insert it in.

Traffic awful as various roads now closed, would have been helpful for club to make people aware. Queued for about 10 minutes despite only about 10 people in front as phones, paper tickets etc weren’t working. Queues at half time for food so long I gave up.

The council turned the road on Albert Street towards the Townley into a cycle lane only lol. Noticed it for the Everton game, but predictably helped create a load of chaos today. The council are morons.

Don’t want to disparage anybody else’s experience, just speak on my own

stewards were quick to frisk people (I’m in entrance K), most people got in immediately. Stewards took anyone having problems aside so as to not have them build Up the queue and helped them very swiftly.

was expecting the worst but it was fine

Not all worked including mine and who I was with but I'd put that down to teething. Steward had to use his pass.

don’t want to slag off the bar staff as I know they are probably mostly part time staff and on a very low wage

but the bars are shite. People stood around doing nothing directing people also doing nothing

Genuinely think that actual bar staff from any pub I’ve ever been in would improve the service at the stadium, thereby increasing the number of pints served, thereby increasing the money made (granted they would be on higher wages)

lost count of the number of team leaders behind bars doing nothing to speed up service

The amount of time it takes to serve a pint of beer is frankly criminal. Can’t imagine what somebody who runs an actual bar would think of it

Poor Pete the badge was at the table for ages, that City butty box they were going through with a tooth comb I felt sorry for him.
Glad to hear Pete the Badge was there - even if that scenario was a right pain for him.

Reminded me of the time late 70's / early 80's when me and two of my mates had punk studded leather jackets and the 3 of us always got searched at away games piling off the coach. One of the two, Alan, bought a jacket with many, many zips all over it. They were just zips. You couldn't put anything in them.
We arrived at Villa Park and the West Midlands Finest pulled the 3 of us to one side whilst everyone else just walked off and away. This one twat of a Dibble spent minutes unzipping each and every one of his zips before sending him on his way.
