Queues

I gave up trying to getting into M1 at 3-20pm and went to Mary Ds. I went back for the second half and got in.

There are things the club could do to get people in early, simple things like make a pie and a pint half price before 2-30pm.

If technophobes like me want a paper ticket/old style SC then it should be allowed. If a queue of 500 people takes 30 seconds each to find the ticket on the phone ( Remember in this day and age phone theft is rife and losing your phone can mean losing lots more than just being able to ring someone, people will be reluctant to walk around with their phone in hand) that queue is 4 hours long. If it takes 10 seconds its still over 1 hour. Factor in being searched, wanded, etc and you can see why it is a mess.

Fan culture as well, as long as I have been going we always got in 5 minutes before KO, Maine Road had lots of pubs in walking distance, the Etihad doesnt, so days like yesterday when trams were poor because of shortages of them then fans are stuck in town and will arrive later, plus have we have seen posted the motorways were fucked as well.

At 3-20pm yesterday i was on the verge of quitting going, by 3-45pm i was missing City, by 4pm i was in the ground. Yes its shit at the moment, the club have got lots of things wrong and it is easy to blame the fans for it, what we need to do is find a way around it.
No good letting u in early for cheap pint and pie there constantly sold out of Lager so unless you can drink a pint of ribena (dark fruits) it's a waste of time. The fan experience this season has been nothing but a joke.

There’s not really anywhere to leave your feedback on your visits to the ground and whats good/shite and what makes you more or less likely to go.

City Matters is a closed shop
OSC doesn’t get involved in Matchday feedback

Most gyms, resteraunts etc ask for feedback once your visits over via text email or an app. It’s pretty standard practice.

City should do the same if they arent going to have an open fans forum.
We used to get a survey after games a couple of seasons back. What happened to them?

My friend works for a Premier League club. They are starting mobile ticketing next season. They are being courted by the company who did both ours and Liverpool's new system. I was interested to hear that he's been taken for a day to see it in action - at Anfield, even though our stadium is much closer. I wonder why that is?
Maybe he should ask to be taken to our ground to see the carnage it producs each week. Daughter spent about a minute on Saturday holding her phone in exactly the same way she has been doing all season. Eventually it worked. Same happened to my mate and then miraculously my phone worked for the first time all season. The whole roll out has been a disaster yet the club appear deaf to all the moans. The only way that they might listen is if we all stay outside and miss half the game, actually that is happening already as people can't get in. A girl and her partner were turned away from our turnstile because having queued for 10 minutes they were told they were in the wrong queue due to her having a bag about the size of a phone and it needed to be searched! Nobody tells people there are separate queues, nobody tells you how to hold the phone, nobody is doing anything about the clusterfuck that is the modern 'football experience'. If it isn't sorted very soon then I can see match days crowds diminishing even further and renewals will continue to drop without us having the luxury of a waiting list.

You best tell me, others, and the Stewards that, because everyone I see is still inserting their mobiles into the Bermuda Triangle Scanners, where mobiles disappear.
Mine won't wore just holding it against the scanner. I have to bring the code up and insert. My son's latest Apple phone works no problem with just tapping it.

Totally agree mate. It's been a massive cock-up. My season ticket has hardly worked this season. Saturday it didn't. Another time my lads had to go and get a paper ticket and missed kick off. Buying tickets has been difficult, with credit card payments being refused despite no problems. You have to sit on hold if you try to get help. It takes two days to answer email enquiries.

I've told my mate what a fuck up it's been and he can't believe we didn't introduce it slowly in tandem with the old system. Apparently that's what Liverpool did.

Without question it's already affecting attendances. From a purely personal point of view I missed the Burnley game but didn't pass the ticket onto my dad so he could invite his mate like normal. He and his mate didn't bother going to the Wycombe game because they relocated him to a shit seat and he couldn't get through on the phone. There must be thousands of similar stories.

The South sTand took half an hour to fill up on Saturday. The second I sat down I could see there had been a real problem.

I've already whined about it in another thread, but I'll vent in here too.

On Saturday I arrived nice and early to get inside the ground with my dad and have a pint. It's a good job I did!

I work in IT and I consider myself tech-savvy. I helped my dad get through and then tried to scan myself in. No dice. There was a steward inside the spiral doing nothing, my dad asked him for help, to which he said he can't do anything. The only other stewards I could see were searching people. I had to interrupt one, who pointed out a man in a grey jacket (which didn't stand out at all) who'd been stood right near me whilst I tried (and failed) to get in 7 or 8 times.

I collared him and asked him for help. He checked my ticket and went to scan me in. I told him there was a man next to me struggling too (who was trying to get in before I got to the front). He helped him get through.

This steward was stood doing nothing. His sole purpose was to help fans like me get in and I had to ask him. It's such a shoddy implementation and paying these stewards will cost a lot more than giving the odd person a physical seasoncard to get in.

This was half an hour before kick-off and after figuring out it wasn't going to work I moved aside and freed up my turnstile, but the poor chap next to me must have been there easily 5 minutes before being helped. Shambles.

If you aren't turning up at least half an hour before kick off, don't expect to be in on time!

Have the same issue with my android.

Found out against Burnley that doing that NFC doesn't need to be turned on which the OS says can't happen. Someone on here mentioned it so I tried it & I turned 'green'.

At some point a new stadium, or rebuild may happen. The supply issue is a red herring and one outside the clubs control.
