Buses are sorted. Last season it was quicker walking than getting the bus, and I'd only get the bus if it was raining. This season traffic has disappeared.

Why not just have the stewards with the wands stood at the gates to the grounds of the stadium instead of at the turnstiles? They do it at the Nou Camp and it's much quicker

Its a farce....total sham. Having been 'wanded' by the security expert on a zero hours couldn't give a shit contract I then said to him do you want to check my rucksack i.e that big fucking black thing on my back and he said he thought the other person doing the wanding had done this... I then went through the turnstile with my 12 year old sons ST card on purpose and gave him mine to go through instead...not a problem thank you very much. From my work and professional experience wandings are about as effective as a security cordon around grannies when Rooney is around...I was the first into the ground. Just me. Nobody else. No queue. Once again I had my metal point and shoot camera in my pocket. Been in town. Wanded. No beep! Talking to the Showsec guy as well. No search. Not told to put any of my belongings on the table. Even had a cake in my pocket under my mobile phone. Got in with that. All in all it was the least hassle search I've ever had a City. Imagine if I was a security accessor on the QT.
I saw another Showsec guy at another entrance complaining that his wand was beeping all the time even though he was only moving it up and down his arm.

@1961_vintage sometimes yes, sometimes no! They did a quick pat down on me yesterday and then told me to go in even though I was carrying a jacket and could have had anything in the pockets! No wand this match though, although they normally have the wands on!!

Cheers Eccles. I was wandering how some of our elder statesmen, former players and various visiting dignitaries felt about being checked in this way.
Plus we could have a very special "wand" for a certain Danny Mills!
