Queues

They ran out of lager and cider at half time (this was a bar serving only lager and cider). Only small tweaks needed to fix things - extra fucking barrels
I wouldn't bother. They only ran out because it was half price and people were in early. I thought we were getting better choices this season but somehow the club is offering less and what they have is shocking. Back to sneaking in bottles of water for me.

Got to the tram stop and saw the next tram was in 32 minutes to (Eccles) and the one after that was 34 minutes (to Eccles) so decided to walk. Fuck off metrolink
So did I but the tram came 7 mins later. Apparently the timings they put up on those boards after the match mean nothing they just keep sending trams! I was just about to ask one of the loads of metro link people about it when another one came along the platform shouting out the information.
Just before the Eccles one, one came for Trafford Bar and one for Media City. Neither of which were up on the destination boards.

Seeing as this appears to be the place to say it, but I echo everyone slagging off the bar service. Absolute joke. 3 people behind one of our bars using 1 till and serving 1 at a time. Then ran out of beer. Then when it did get replaced were serving half pint of froth. Pathetic.

Are you able to do it contactless on Google Pay or do you have to insert it into the reader with the barcode? I assumed you had to insert it in.
NFC with Google Pay should work by just putting the phone near the scanner but for many people (including me) it didn't. Could be, as some people have suggested that it's just a case of finding the 'sweet spot' or it could be that the scanners are not up to it.

The barcode seems to be a fallback and involves putting the phone (with the barcode visible) into the reader just as you would with a paper ticket.

iPhone you just hold the phone to the scanner and it comes up and scans green automatically
That's how NFC works on Android too and for many Android users it worked fine. When the scanner didn't scan the barcode option is a backup. Some iPhone users also struggled with NFC and had to use the barcode.

Southampton problems are all NFC and Liverpool had the same problem yesterday. The introduction of mobile tickets and ncf to facilitate this is a premier league initiative.

Probably to be expected with an early kick off meaning arrivals are less spread out but there seemed to be a significantly longer set of queues everywhere around the south stand today compared to Norwich, majority seemed to be caused by the security checks than ticket issues though. Took a few seconds longer than my card again which do add up and create queues but generally speaking no issues for me.

Yeah I saw that at M1. Loads of people queuing there. Only about 30 in front of me. I was 15 mins earlier though so maybe that is why I didn’t have problems. It may have increased a bit after that.

SS3 queue was huge. Think they had shut off one set of turnstiles
I don't think it was that as I didn't see any stewards redirecting people to go elsewhere. M1 was back to its huge queue worst and it seemed to me more of a result of slow searches by the stewards. M1 is never good and it's frustrating to see no queue at M2 for the lower levels.
