A bomber won't get into the stadium with a rucksack.
A bomber would have detonated the bomb long before trying that.
Creating queues 100's long is a perfect opportunity for a bomber to strike, especially in a fenced off area like the one opposite the SS.
The club need to rethink the whole security checks for next season.
They need an outer cordon where fans with no visible bags are allowed to walk straight into the area outside the entrances. Then they can be scanned and checked at the turnstiles. Fans with visible bags should be stopped and searched. If that will do any good with a bomber intent on exploding a bomb.
The club and stewards have to use some common sense. If I'm wearing a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, no cap, and I'm not carrying anything, do I or other fans like me need searching? No.
If I'm wearing a coat, yes. If I've got a cap on, no. You can't strap a bomb to your head. A pistol, maybe? You can't strap a bomb to your legs under your jeans. You can hide a bomb under your coat.
If checks are going to continue, there has to be some common sense, specific guide lines, and training given. As it is it's been a steward free for all, with the majority doing there own thing, and in many cases creating queues 100's long, which is exactly what a bomber is looking for.
RIP to those people who lost their lives last night.
