Queues

I have in the last few days been in queues at the airport, at the SS3 turn-stile on Saturday and Nick Cave last night, there is no quick fix; the fuckers seem to be winning.
I said that earlier in the thread.
After every atrocity someone pipes up with 'we'll be strong, they won't change our way of life yada yada yada, and what happens, we change our way of life and reduce our freedoms

PS Nick Cave was fucking brilliant

If city are that concerned about our safety they need to spend some money and sort this out.
Yes, and they don't need to spend lots on expensive kit, just pay a few more people to do it.

I do disagree with the bolded bit though and would like to know what you think they are doing it for.
I've said all along that it is to get people to turn up early, get inside early, and then buy their expensive shite food and drink, so for me its wholly commercial reasons, hidden behind security because that was convenient. People are far more vulnerable queuing outside, than they are inside, so you tell me why you think that its security.

Funnily enough tonight at M1, it was a huge queue, but very efficiently dealt with and took us just 5 minutes to get in, the complete opposite of Saturday I'm told.

I arrived at 7.26 last night to find the queues for entrance P back as far as the perimeter gate & feared the worst but they had 5 people with the wands who appeared to be wanding everyone & yet I was in the ground by 7.31. Great stuff.

All the security is bullshit and is a token gesture to tick a box, against liverpool i was 50 yards back in the que and it was taking ages and the searching was slow, then there was a massive downpour for about 5 minutes, all of a sudden people were moaning, and in less than 2/3mins iwas at the front, barely searched cos i moaned about theque and i was soaking,
everyone has an opinion and i know mine wont go down with everyone either, but there is more risk queing up and leaving the ground, the Manchester bomb occured after the concert when people were leaving.
photo id season card holders should be allowed straight through with a minimal security check, there is also a stereotype for certain terrorist organisations, but the pc brigade wont allow it as it would be deemed racist..

Inconsistency with the stewards is the problem,
P1 the right side que was moving pretty fast as the steward was quick wand and through, but on the left hand side it was wand the front, turn around wand the back, if thought necessary empty pockets.
Took twice as long but maybe is twice as safe
It seems like there is no plan to how it's done though just up to the steward

I would like to hear a terrorists opinion on our security checks.

Don't need to. Just think what you would do. They are only human beings, same thought processes. Those queues have to be a prime target. Rucksac bomb. Not difficult to picture the scenario and then it will be - lessons to be learnt, and so on you have heard it all before.

Said before, millions paid for players etc etc.
