My friend agrees and said it was a channel called RTL on the Astra satellite, but you needed a decoder to add to your satellite system for the porn which was scrambled back then… 1989-1990

I have no idea what "shout-at-pictures" quiz shows are.
If it's on TV aren't all TV quiz shows this format? :)
Were on a sports forum. Is competition in the field of sport, adults acting as children? Or is it just competition in the field of intelligence where you see adults acting as children?
Have I totally misunderstood your post?

Quiz shows that show pictures and the contestants have to say what they are...as opposed to questions on general knowledge.

Anyone see Who wants to be a Millionare last night? I think the Woman was on £250,000 & the question to get to £5000,000 was something like which sports item has been tracked at travelling at over 260mph, the options were A-Tennis Ball, B-Ice Hockey Puck, C-Badminton Shuttlecock, or D-Table Tennis Ball She messed about for a bit trying to make her mind up weather to take the £250,000 or risk it, all the while I was shouting at the TV "its obviously the Ice Hocky Puck you idiot!",
She listened to me & chose Ice Hockey Puck, it turned out to be the Shuttlecock so she dropped back to £64,000 which she had set as her safety net, Sorry.

couldn’t believe the answer was shuttlecock. One of those questions that if u didn’t know 100% certain that the answer was shuttlecock, 90% of people would probably guess ice puck, I certainly did. Thought it was so obvious!!

I had heard about the speed of a shuttlecock somewhere before. My Mrs was saying it had to be ice hockey puck but I said to her that if that's the case the keepers wouldn't even see it. Bit of a trick question as I believe the shuttlecock only reaches those speed for a fraction of a second
