R.I.P Chris Perkins.

Just hear the sad news that a big Blue Chris Perkins sadly passed away in the early hours of the 12th April. A Benchill Wythenshawe lad he'd been living in Cornwall for some time. Him and his girlfriend Maria still had season tickets and often stayed in Altrincham before games, drinking in the Station and the Bricklayers. Pre game they drank in the Townley. A big man with a big heart, rest in peace Chris.

I've met Chris and Maria a few times over the years including doing karaoke on a pre season trip to Brum about 5 years ago. Very nice people.

No mate. He lived around the corner from me growing up but he was a couple of years younger. Top lad, used to be in a band and they were getting it together again. Marie said it was sudden in the early hours so it sounds like a heart attack.
