R.I.P Chris Perkins.

You couldn't help but like the bloke. He was a bit younger than me but growing up you knew everyone in your area. He's lived in Cornwall for a while now.He has five sons too, the youngest only 21. I met him and Maria at Wembley when we played Arsenal. Drank with them Friday and Saturday and had a curry with them after the game. Met them for a couple of drinks before the Watford final. Last time I saw them was last year before the first home game of the season when I had a drink with them in Altrincham. A big lad with a big personality he will be sorely missed.
That’s how I remember him mate, a really likeable lad, I really took to him straight away, knew he was a good egg.

For what it’s worth, I hope he had a great life, he deserved that.

Tough at times I think but he was always smiling and certainly lived life to the full. He was in a rock band in the eighties and supported some top acts. He was getting another band together recently.

Ha yes, that doesn’t surprised me about the rock band, he used to bring albums round with him quite often, I remember ‘Kiss’ being quite â popular one, my mate used to idolise him.
