Tbf Brewster has been injured for most of the time after the U17 world cupYep and that lad at liverpool who was top goal scorer in that comp hasnt had a snif at liverpool but Dick head Ducker thought it was Staggering that Foden didnt start the Burton game 3 days after playing 90 mins! This is the media setting the Narative that some fans fall for! Dont be a sheep think for yourselves.
The 4 are only useless if you can see the future and know what injuries are going to occur or what tactical tweaks may be needed. Unless you are saying Pep should know his 3 changes before the game and youth players should take some of the unused spots as a token gesture.Who was on the bench in their place? Since we can only sub 3 on, I'd say 4 players uselessly.
Gibbs-White, Smith-Rowe and Loader have all started games this season

He should DEFINITELY have an idea of his 3 subs before the game, would be negligent to not have that in mind. The 4 are only useless if you can see the future and know what injuries are going to occur or what tactical tweaks may be needed. Yep, he was apparently the fastest in end of season testing over 20 metres at the end of last season and that has made him into a world beater (by people who know that one little fact about him). Actual skill doesn't appear to matter anymore.I'll preface by saying I'm not one to get excited by prospects, either here or in American sports, but as I understand it, prior to the rumors this weekend, no one really rated him much beyond "has a chance to be a good player". Someone compared him to Sancho and was laughed at because they aren't apparently aren't even close to the same level of talent. But now that he's going to leave it's a huge indictment of the academy, proof that the club has no idea what it's doing, Pep has to take the blame, etc. What am I missing here?
If he doesn't want to stay, thats fine. Just this week we're rumored to be signing Ilaix Moriba, another 15 year old La Masia kid. We bring talented kids in, develop them, and if you're an absolute top drawer talent you'll get a shot with the first team when the time comes. Given that Pep didn't even have him training with the squad he clearly doesn't rate him on that level and as result he's moving on. It's a conveyor belt. No big deal either way.
And the talent that looked likely to be able to step up would be Sancho & Diaz so we're not losing ALL the talent really are we. Matondo & Poveda are still here so you can't use them as an example (presuming they would be "able to step up") so stop being a drama queen. If we lose Matondo and Poveda (rumours of BOTH leaving), then I will mentally check out on anything related to the academy.
I have already lowered my expectations drastically, I knew we would bleed talent (and we have), but to lose literally ALL the talent that has a chance to step up is ridiculous, for which the club AND Pep should take blame.
