Ffs..Missed that twice now at 22-1 and 9-1. Didn't look at the irish cards today, very annoying.

City Captain won
Blue Empress 2nd - headed late on.
Blue Seeker - drifted back out and finished last.

Elsewhere
Blue moon boy won at 9-1
Blue Nazare won at 5-1 @ 4.05 Yarmouth

Could have been a big pay day if id noticed them two instead of the others two :(

3.37 Huntingdon Pep talking , currently at 7/1 , got a chance but think the fav looks good . Worth a punt tho at those odds .

Maestro Bernstein runs again at Naas today.

Showed fuckall on debut but Listowel is a tricky track and it was his first run so probably worth another go on this more suitable course. Very backable price for the only Aidan O'brien runner in an Irish maiden

No City link but Zavateri is a mental price for the Dewhurst today aswell. Unbeaten with 2 group 2 wins and a Group one win against today's favourite already. Cannot understand why he is available at 5/1. From a smaller yard but a very good one.

Came 2nd Maestro Bernstein, on the face of it a marked improvement from his first run but to be honest I can give the horse no excuse for not going and winning that race today and he'd have to be double figures in the right type of race to see my money next time out.

I've gone on Zavaterri. On your head mate, lol

He was still a cracking bet at 5/1 probably a combination of a few too many tough races this year and also lost a bit of balance going into the dip at Newmarket. Hopefully they swerve the English Guineas and go for the Irish one at the Curragh where he's won before and hopefully be a decent price.

Still the last horse to win the British Triple Crown.

1. It shows what an incredible achievement it was.

2. It shows what an incredible stallion Nijinsky was.
Only 3 horses have won the first 2 legs since and only one of them went for the St Leger. He'll be the last for a very long time.
