Obviously, whoever did this just worked out that due to the huge national/international tv audience for the game they would get the biggest potential bang for their buck doing it over the Etihad today.
What pissed me off is that surely since 9/11 a flight plan has to be lodged/approved to take a light aircraft for a spin over a stadium at full capacity. Why the fuck from a security point would this be approved, even if it was just a banner saying peace and love? Madness.

It was a spurious claim in 2010 made by a professor with links to a dodgy think-tank that the far right have been using ever since. It's a version of the great replacement theory that have animated the far right across France and the US as well.
 
Didn't think you could get a plane to fly a banner like this after the Burnley fan did it in the lock down game.
