Throw him in jail and lost the keys. Mentally retarded as**olle....

Glad this mouthy prick got locked up. You would have to be an idiot to write such vitriolic shite and expect to get away with it, especially when you know all and sundry can see it .

I don't condone what this prick did but it's a mad world when he gets locked up for posting some insults on the internet yet those 4 women is Leicester who physically attacked a women in a racist attack didn't.

Yes but we all know why dont we, because racism nearly always only works one way in the eyes of the law

He's quite clearly a knobhead and the views he was spouting were abohorrent, but I can't help but feel a little uneasy that someone has just been jailed for writing something on the internet.

But they weren't used to drinking... this lad is a student and therefore is...

very worrying precedent to set and as said before, completely disproportionate to sentences given (or not) to other racially motivated attacks. no way in hell should you be arrested for posting you're views online, even if they are disgusting, people can just block him. another erosion of the right to free speech

Punishment must reflect the possible consiquences of the defendants actions. The law is shit scared now since the riots were organized on twitter.

The law will see it as inciting race crimes which is pretty bad tbh, if someone said it on the street they would be arrested for it so why not online ?

I personally would not let these muslim fanatics go on with all the "death to england and the infidel" shit. I would kick the fuckers out of the country.
Same goes for any such crap imo, ranting is fine but constant racist slurs and death threats type stuff should be dealt with imo.

so he's a biology student at university? surely he must fucking know how race has no relevance then!?

hope he gets a right arse raping.

Racism has been against the law for quite a while. If you write it instead of say it, it is still a crime

Is writing something on the internet any different to writing something on a piece of paper and signing it? My friend lost his job as a Van Driver for slating his Employers on Facebook. Admittedly, I never mention my work on these social networking sites for fear of saying something stupid in the heat of the moment...

I'm delighted to hear Liam Stacey has been jailed and I wish Joshua Cryer (who racially abused Stan Collymore) had gone the same way. He got off with Community Service.

theres a few bluemoon members who should be locked up then as well. inciting hate is criminal as well but people get away with that. just seems because its in the media's attention the lads been given a very harsh sentence, i'm sure much worse stuff gets posted on twitter every day and is never dealt with justice should be fair and i'm not sure this is.

If you see posts you believe are racist then report them. You can do it anonymously to avoid being unfairly labelled a "grass" or something. They're making an example of Liam Stacey but I hope anyone saying anything like this is dealt with in the same manner.

Yes but Muamba was Twitters hot topic of the moment and this was obviously going to get picked. It doesn't matter that we know it goes on if it gets seen and reported than they should be arrested
