Radamel Falcao Zarate

If we are in pole position.. its still very far till January unless we reach an agreement with all parties between now and then we would have to either loan or sell dzeko and what would this do for Mario? I'm assuming that tevez won't extend his contract also if we get falcao. I'd love him but this definitely complicates our forwards situation

I cannot see us going for Falcao when we have to similar players in Tevez and Aguero.

We might not need him, if we score the same amount of goals as last season, surely that is enough?? Tevez and Aguero can get 25+ each in the league this season in my opinion.

Just when you thought the transfer window's over...

I think the fact we pay most the transfer upfront is big advantage for us depends if Chelsea can match us after the amount of money they have already spent.

He would be a good signing but for what they are asking not worth it. He is not as good as tevez or aguero all round he comes alive around 18 yard box but outside the box a little out of his depth I think.

During the summer I asked a spanish Atletico supporting mate his opinion on three recent strikers who have graced the Vincente Calderon.

The best in his opinion as he offered much more to the team than the other two was Kun Aguero. The worst Torres. And that is despite Torres being Atletico through and through and therefore beloved by my mate.

As far as Falcao is concerned he thinks he's great but as has been mentioned he only comes alive in the box.

Having said that this conversation took place in July. After last Friday's destruction of Chelsea maybe he's changed his mind.

Seems to me we could use a predator in the box, we thought Dzeko would be but he misses loads of chances for some reason (I'm sure he used to be more clinical at Wolfsburg). Van Persie was probably Bob's target for this reason and Falcao could also be the sort of player who turns what we saw against QPR into a 3-0 half-time lead. Would like to see Guidetti get a chance too, he was very clinical for Feyenoord whenever I saw him.

I agree with this and I think the main reason Mancini wanted RVP is because he is also good with his back to goal that is where Falcao struggles and yes Guidetti seems like he may be one of them predator strikers he should get a chance.

Any news on when Guidetti will be fit and available for matches?

“His dream is to one day play for Real Madrid,” Radamel Garcia told Colombian radio show El gran debate de Todelar.

“Always, since childhood, he has wanted to play there. Other international football teams like Manchester City and Chelsea have been interested in him.

“If he cannot go to Madrid, then he would go to English football. Before the UEFA Super Cup I did not know if he was going to be sold or not.

“His future? Of course he wants to go to the World Cup, but, above all, he wants to go to Madrid. He will change his team at the end of the season.”

Manchester City lead Chelsea in £47m race for Falcao

The Premier League champions pursued the Colombian superstar throughout the summer transfer window and are confident of facilitating a deal with Atletico Madrid in January

Athletico won't sell to Madrid, I have faith in Ferran Soriano ;)

We would need to find a home for Dzeko but this would be a dream signing and we would have the best forward line in the world. Just a ball playing CB and cover for silva and the squad would be complete.
