I reckon a good 50% of your nearly 300 posts have been about Darijo Srna, turn off FM09.

But he can Attack ;) But 8 million for an extra player to the squad isn't soo bad. Glen Johnson cannot defend.

Thus explaining why the Bin Dippers have only got 3 points from 3 games.

Srna is great, one of the top 5 right backs in the world, together with Maicon and Daniel Alves, also capable of slotting in midfield. How good he is on computer games I don't know, you have to ask Matty. Apparently he is amazing on games according to him.

bought him on my footy manager 2008 now madrid and valencia want him:). agree hes a bit flaky in defence but attacking /wing back hes good. plus for £8M hes good price. cant see it though with micah, zab and all the right sided CBs

No because he has probably been there best player, well going forward he has. In general he isn't a good defender, but a very good attacker.

The reason Srna is so good on FM09 is down to a fault with the programming. Because he can play so many positions his current ability rating is a little bit skewed. It results in his stats being bumped up without his Current Ability rating going up. There is actually a 'cheat' (without using any editor) to get players stats bumped up in the game and Srna's situation mirrors that of the cheat.

In other words, if he was just a right back or a just right midfielder he'd be about as good as Rafinha or any other player who has a CA of around 165. FM players will know what i mean.

Or putting it simpler, he is much better on the game than he is in real life.

While i'm on the subject, players like Veloso and Moutinho also look amazing on the game, mainly because they are so one footed. Veloso is left foot only and Moutinho is right foot only. As a result of them being so one-footed, their actual stats make them look like much better players. So again, at a quick glance they look quality, but in actual fact they are little better than average, just like in real life.


On topic, Rafinha is class on FM. Let's sign him.

Nothing taken away from Srna because everytime i have seen him from being Croatia in the world cup and Euro's or in the uefa cup final for Shakhtar Srna has been outstanding. Possesses Leadership qualities, is good at attacking and defending, and is complete. I agree with Somud, from what i have seen (which is like 8 matches) i think he would be a very good buy, especially coming at a cheaper price than Glen Johhnson and the likes.

What makes you think Srna will be cheap?

• Shakhtar is rich, not desperate for money.
• He's their captain and a fan idol.
• Srna has said he doesn't want to leave this year (I believe...).

Trust me, if anything he'll be very expensive. I still think he'd be worth it though!
