Just found this, you should not laugh but................

I've been supporting this club since 1968 and the pain I am in now, I can honestly say is among the worst I have ever felt associated with this club. Very sore, as bad as I've felt in a long while. Probably compounded by the fact my two young lads are distraught, they can't believe it.

They can't grasp the result, nor the magnitude of it. Really bad, words don't describe it.

The older of the two said "it's alright dad, we've got Sir Alex - he'll get us out of it, we'll come ... you'll see. we'll still be champions".

I 110% agree. You know the part that killed me though? The point of realisation where I said "fuck ... fuck."

When that man leaves this club, it's very probable that we'll slide down the table into a bit of mediocrity for a while. That's no slight on anyone, it just pays testament to the great man. We could be in for a turbulent period when he leaves - not that it's the end of the world, what I've already seen won't be topped in terms of how bad it may be, but after the better part of 2 decades at the top, it could be nearing a finish. Maybe not so much a finish, but a gradual decline.

I have no doubt we'll get back up and Sir Alex will lead us to glory, yet, but it's post-Fergie that has me very worried.

What did he say about the best teams, and cycles etc. etc.?

Could be very relevant.

Sad day.

It could be knee jerk, but a quick look at my previous posts says I'm not one to jump the gun (that comes with experience) but it's raised a little more than cause for concern.

I just really hope Sir Alex stays for a good few years yet and leaves us in the best position he can (no doubt) - just hoping that position is enough for the next manager to come in and build on.

In times gone by, potential obstacles and challengers were easily dismissed because we all knew Sir Alex would just keep chipping away and eventually come back. It's gotten to the stage where he may not have a whole lot long left and thus the doubt arises on how we will fare once he calls it a day, even if he temporarily does lead us to glory again.

Big challenges ahead, both in the short-term and longer term.

Parts of this quote sound like the last days of the Hitler in his bunker !

"it's alright dad, we've got Sir Alex - he'll get us out of it, we'll come ... you'll see. we'll still be champions".

Bunch of fucking wankers.

Anderson isn't fit to be on the same fucking pitch as Silva. He's a fat twat and he's shit.

They sing about empty seats yet they were crawling out like the shit bricks they are on the 70 min mark, they knew they were dead and buried and they knew they didn't have the heart to see it through so they ran, like they always do.

6-1 in their cup final.

Sad twats

Strikes me as odd that neutrals would support a club boosted to such an extent by the billions of a foreign owner though. United were already the underdogs before today - upholding more traditional virtues and all that and I'd have thought that would hold more appeal to the neutral.

He/she obviously means those traditional values of someone who's just been in a plane crash and seen his friends die and in turn cannot carry on his career in professional football to the standard he was at. The club then boot him out of the house he had, fuck him off without a bean and then 50yrs later remember they had better do something about it as it's good PR.

Yep, we all hold those values close to our heart.

thats why every1 and their grandmothers wanna dance in ur graves u red fucks

We would do well to remember just how embarrassing and OTT we can be on here, some of the post Liverpool threads on here were comedy - I would bump them but I would get in trouble with the mods.

80 pct of bluemoon screaming for mancini's head, calling the team an embarrassment and demanding change!

There are plenty here who can easily match any Rag or Scouser for a meltdown

Feck it - as a non meltdowner anything to further humiliate the scum is a great idea!

This was posted on my Facebook wall by a rag....

Losing 6-1 at home to your biggest rivals hurts. But Sunday’s derby defeat shouldn’t trigger knee-jerk reactions.
At full-time, the gap between the teams was five goals. But did the game, United’s heaviest home defeat since 1955, expose a gulf in class? Did it prove beyond all doubt that the balance of power in Manchester has shifted from red to blue? It did not.
With two minutes to play, City, who had enjoyed a numerical advantage for almost the entire second half, were 3-1 up and nervous. Joe Hart took an age over his goal-kicks, his team-mates slowed down every award of a United free-kick. Sir Alex’s men had battled bravely until then but, a man down and up against the league’s leaders and form side, the task had proved too tough.
So I'll not get too carried away by a bad result in October. It hurts, sure, but it’s hardly symptomatic of a crumbling empire. United will go on.

god did we not beat spurs with 10 men when barton was sent of.

rags are full of it
And we were away from home and 3-0 down at the time. They refuse to accept that Baconface got it horribly wrong by not putting Jones & Park (who would have shored up the midfield) on straight away instead of waiting for another 20 minutes then bringing on Hernandez.

I dont read papers anymore but i do check MEN online, so this morning i thought i would check the scum side and to my total delight Evans named man of the match on the vote section lmao all you blues for voting

United had a massive investment at a time when the thousands pumped into the club would be millions today.

Real Madrid had backing from the king of Spain.

Barcelona the whole state of Catalonia supported them.

Im tired of this money argument its just the bitter sound of cunts scared the tide has turned. United dominated the money ranks and any time a club had a new talent of note they would tap him up. They have been bullying refs, smaller cubs and everyone for years. Fuck them its out time.

Correct. I said something similar regarding putting Jones on as soon as Evans got his red and I think the reason why he didn't change it straight away was down to the sheer arrogance that they nearly always get themselves out of the shit, especially when playing at home.

Only a deluded fecker would knock what Ferguson has achieved down the years but one would have to be equally deluded to think he didn't screw up badly in this game, and what was more shocking is that the warning signs have been there for weeks - Chelsea, Basle, and Norwich all tore their defence to shreds in their own backyard and that was when it was 11 v 11. To think his team could wing it when 1-0 down without making tactical changes immediately following the sending-off against the best team in the division on current form was naive in the extreme, especially for a manager of his experience and pedigree.
