Rag Takeover

The prospect of united being run by a consortium of multi millionaires is hilarious. It will be all sweetness and light initially but will break down into bickering acrimony within a year or two, probably when the investors are told that their £20m stake doesnt entitle them to a say over who replaces Ferguson.

Multi millionaires, with similar sized egos, generally don't make good silent partners. Mega rich owners that are also investing as fans will be much worse.

How are Ebbsfleet doing these days?

Dose this mean they will be using investors money?

If so it could mean certain fans IE City Arsenal L/Pool could own a slice of scum

It's been qouted as being run Ala Barcelona, with a president and fans having a say, people like Fred Done the bookie(betfred) have said they will back the takeover.

Glazer family say they are not selling, but we do not really know if they are serious. Depends on any offer should it be forthcoming as they are businessmen not fans with an emotional tie to the club.

As some commentators have pointed out, Utd have been successful under the Glazer regime, and there is nothing unusual about business carrying debt. we do not really know if the debt repayments are hampering Utd's football activities as their critics claim.

The Red Knights are just another bunch of Glazers who are using the Utd fans antagonism towards the Glazers as an opportunity to get their hands on Utd. We've been here before with City. It all gets very damaging if the fans start to ally themselves with one side and start to attack their club with season-ticket boycots etc as has been threatened.

I expect nothing will really come to a head whilst Utd are doing well on the field and winning trophies, but if they fail to win the Premiership and Champions League then the fans could beturned against the club just when Ferguson must be considering retirement.

Not sure if this one has been posted but its a fair article.

<a class="postlink" href="http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sport/markogden/100005680/will-overthrowing-the-glazers-really-lead-to-utopia-at-manchester-united/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mark ... er-united/</a>

The best situation would be for this to drag on for 5-10 years with protests at the ground etc trying to force out the Glazers who stick around to bleed every last quid out of the club before eventually selling to a bunch of financiers. Add to that the fact that during that time Ferguson has to be replaced & the potential for City style self destruction is very high indeed.
