AliceAyres, one quick point for you.

"Ric" is the forum owner.

"Ricster" is just another poster, who has nothing to do with the running of the site.

Now stop trying convince yourself that being owned by 50 "sort of rich" people is better then being owned by one "rich beyond imagination" person (our Sheik).

BLUE AND WHITE 'CAUSE THE RAGS ARE SHITE!

Yeah I realised that having found the quote from Rictser. Time will tell whether your super rich owner will deliver the success you all keep boasting about. However, we heard the same when Abramovich took over at Chelsea and in the six years since he took over they've only won the Prem twice and never won in Europe. It was amost an intelligent post, you just let yourself down with the last bit which of course is completely ridiculous!

....wouldn't mind 2 prems, and of course they would have won the CL if that Tit hadn't fluffed the pen, but you go on deluding yourself that you deserved that win, that some knights on red chargers are going to come riding over the hill to rescue you ,from what I ask? are they going to scrap the cup ticket schemes or reduce prices?, you and the world wide flock of sheep that blindly follow the duplicitous sack of shite that has managed to camouflage the real nature of that tragedy milking bunch of twats you call a football club should take a good look at yourselves... go on, keep believing, you deserve each other.

There are more holes in this takeover plan than a piece of swiss cheese, yet all of you blindly repeat the mantra of its a good its a good thing without actually knowing any intricate details whatsoever.

Basically what you have put is all supposition with no thought to where the money is coming from ( a group of wealthy backers ) what is this a bond film, a supporters trust ( yeah because its quite plainly a good idea to have the inmates running the asylum ). To a man the average united fan has absolutely no idea what this supposed red knights idea entails apart from a few press sounbites to make it look attractive.

With all due respect you tell us not to bite the hand that feeds us, the same could be said to you under the glazers stewardship you have won 3 premier league titles, a european cup and 2 carling cups, yet you want to get rid of them to have a clean slate, with you lot it really is a case of better the devil you know.

I didn't tell you not to bite the hand that feeds you, that was a post put up by one of your own fans last week pointing out that the sheikh could walk away at any time. I agree that this proposed takeover has no substance at this time but the basic principle of the club being owned by people who are supposed to be United fans with the potential for a supporters trust interest is a good one. A also agree that United have enjoyed fantastic success under the Glazers but would argue that we'd have that success if Utd were still a PLC. Clearly the Glazers have a massive interest in United 's continued success as they've sunk £250m of their own money into the deal. It will be interesting to see if they can be forced out and if the alternative really is better than the current arrangement.

That'll be Keith Harris, self-confessed football broker, the very same man who couldn't even raise funds to buy Everton or Newcastle last year.

The same man who said "There would be absolutely no problem attaining the funds"

This guy throws enough shit at the wall, and just hopes something sticks. It's called working for a commission.

Let's talk about Fred Done, shall we?

The same self-confessed Red who only last month was directly quoted as stating "I wouldn't touch United with a barge poll"

Lo and behold, arise Red Knight. You now fancy a piece of the action because there is supposedly enough people to share the debt burden.

I know a thing or two about football finance, so let me assure you, or the figures you have heard or read, forget it.

If the Glazers would be daft enough to give up on a cash cow, that provides them with no personal liabilities, the due diligence, alone, would be enough to scare off a small nation, not to mention a few like-minded dreamers without the neccessary funds to do it off their own backs.

You may recall the last time your shitty excuse for a football attraction had a fragmented ownership?

Oh, again, that would be when JP and Magnier went off buying shares from their pal Mr Desmond.

You hypocrites don't even realise you have become a victim of your own greed down the years.

To be fair to AA she came on and gave out some banter - we gave it back and more - but this thread is just descending into low insults now

Ooh a (red) knight in shining armour! It's all in good fun.

And here ends the dicussion!

If you mean my last post GM, then I didn't insult "her" I insulted "her" "club" and will defend my right to do so, if only 'cos it's all true! Pity we can't ask Albert Scanlon to verify it. I would also argue that "she" lost any right to consideration the moment "she" stooped to Islamophobia.

Ps, Tolmies hairdo-- I'd love to see you get together with quiet_riot for a Red Knights special :-)

No it doesn't. Why are we hypocrites? We go to support a football team. Owners, players, managers and staff come and go and whilst we may not agree with how the club is run we support the team on the field of play which when all said and done is what football is all about.

Sorry Alice I know it's a bit childish and all, but wouldn't it of been such fun if your parents called you Fanny rather than Alice.

Teeheehee!!!!
