Rag trade

Sold the training ground facility....leasing it back.

Not sure what it means, but doubt it has generated such a vast amount?

A sale or float is being prepared IMO.

As my dad says 'you can't polish a turd'.

My best guess is a sale of part of the club or assets.

If they are to be sold then I cant see why anyone would buy them as it stands? Still £500+m in debt and surely it would have to be someone richer than our good owner to worry us? We could just continue to outbid them on players otherwise.
But back to who would buy them, and why? It would take stupid amounts of money to just break even and them more stupid amounts to fund a re build. It would have to be someone who has £1b+ to just throw away. Not to mention in doing so they would be putting the club back in debt based on the new rules coming in surely? It just doesnt add up or make any sense what so ever. But I agree I think a sale is on the cards and a quick one at that. Just makes it more of a challenge eh.

The rags have also today released info on their income being up a fair bit on this time last year.

Commercial revenue up 25% which is a fair size
matchday revenue up 0.5%
Media income up 4%
some other income up too but can't remember what it was.

Something going on??

The fans slag the glazers off but give them credit they have increased turnover by quite a margin, it's just a shjame for them that the debt kills them.

Is that concrete information tolm or just your supposition?

They were in the process of concluding this two months ago.

I believe this to have some relation to todays announcements.

Albeit, the training ground was valued at only £10m.

Well lets hope they've included the swamp as well (although it's security for the bonds). Them being in rented accomodation will silence the "council house" crap.

Could the 25% increase in commercial revenues have anything to do with the new shirt sponsorship? Considering that they have already banked that cash it wont look so clever next year.
