it's quite obvious that the glazers cant afford to let go of manyoo......it's the only company they own thats making money (just) and they just might need that to bail them out on other ventures

We learnt nowt new there; it was hardly the hard-hitting exposé we were hoping for.

Absolute disgrace, makes you think the country and folk very high up dont want them to go under, how is this legal, not paying tax?

It's perfectly legal, interest payments on loans can be offset against corporation tax on profits.

Tax evading isn't really looked upon because companies will base in the UK (even though United's parent company is registered in Nevada, USA) if tax loop-holes were closed these companies would pack up and move elsewhere which is bad for the economy, unfair i know but its a harsh reality.

A blind eye is turned because they turn in more money then otherwise gained through tax.
