Ahem... thank you.

Seriously........ yours was always my favourite, even back to the Electric Blue versions!!

In dark times........ happy days!!

Again, thank you and you are right: while the team wasn't up to much, they were indeed happy days in many other respects... And to think, we now have to listen to: "Where were you when you were sh!t?" from our detractors!

Was walking to Victoria station today and a couple of Irish lads asked me the way to old trafford. I could have told them the way but told them I was a blue and I didn't have a clue. Saw them about 20 minutes later jumping in a taxi.

Does anyone have a source as to who paid for the cantilever stand etc. Trying to help my 10 year old daughter win an argument with a red! She is ahead on points at the moment but this could shut him up. All he has at the moment is 34 years and council house! Help please.......

I had to travel up to Edinburgh from London on Tuesday and flew back to London City airport. There were three of us going in the same direction and it was late so we got a taxi. We dropped one person off then the taxi driver (100% dyed-in-the-wool cockney) asked the two of us where we were from.

On telling him Manchester, he said "That's my second favourite city." I laughed and said "Bet you say that to all your passengers." He replied "No really it is. I'm a season ticket holder at Old Trafford." I just burst out laughing and said "Hallelujah - a cockney rag!" which he took in good spirit. At least he goes to games.

However, last night, my learned friend Tueartsboots said "Are you sure he didn't mean he had a Sky Viewing Card?"

All us oldies know the answer to this. In 1965 the swamp was given a shed load of money to upgrade it for the World Cup the following year. The money came from the F.A. and the Government. I am also led to believe that Manchester City Council (despite the fact it wasn't in Manchester) gave money as well. The problem is this has now been airbrushed out of their history and if you don't believe me Google it. The various references make it sound like nitid paid for it which they did not.

and just a personal observation City 'Til I Cry was the best fanzine !!! Sorry Noel.

It was a replay you tit.

I know it was a replay dickhead but it still doesn't explain why we would be playing an FA cup game at Old Trafford and White Hart Lane in the same week. I don't meean to be pedantic but Wednesday 4th February 2004 was never in the same week as Saturday 14th February 2004 or any other year as it happens.

Is it really worth getting arsey about his memory being a week out?
Reading your original reply it was quite obvious you didn't know we were playing there in the cup following the spurs game, rather thinking he was just going to a united match.

Cheers Blue Mist. As for Fanzines I think you will find that Noel had a soft spot for King of the Kippax and deep down he wished he could have worked on that fanzine (honest guv!)
