Rags Writing City Reports For MEN

Seems ironic to me that our City reporter, Chris Bailey, a dyed in the wool Blue ,has been criticised on this and other boards and even called a rag, yet this bloke is being defended.

Paul Hince got that too

When I read the articles in the MuEN I too thought there would be a Rag nuance to it all... and I think that is the case!

The crap about Benitez "frightened" of City... that's a real Rag Issue thing... being sarcastic and trying to take the piss out of City being "massive".

And then the Crouch story... it's as if Tevez and Et'o aren't worth mentioning, so he concentrates on someone who must be about our 6th. choice!

Brennan even dismisses the Tevez link, even though that is clearly the biggest story concerning City right now.

So, even though he's being subtle, Brennan cannot help but write like a fuckin' Rag!

It's a conspiracy I tell thee!

Dunno if you noticed that Stuart Brennan at MEN has been writing City articles recently. He wrote today's Santa Cruz story, yesterday's Crouch story, Benitez be afraid story and other stories. Whilst they seem alright, as stories, I just don't enjoy reading them knowing he is a rag.

I guess he will be professional when doing them but how would you feel if someone asked you to write a positive story about the rags? I don't think I could.

I'm gonna watch out for Brennan's stories to see how pro-City they are in the future.

'Benitez Be Afraid' is in effect an anti Liverpool story & at a time when most of the world's press are linking us with Tevez, Eto, both Toures, Lescott, Johnson, David Villa etc etc, he opened up with a headline about us chasing Peter Crouch, an article which had the desired effect of re awakening all the Hughes-out foaming lunatics everywhere to post their manic depressive nonsense at a time when we should all be full of optimism .

I think he's doing the rags proud already.

If I was in the same position and asked/told to write a positive story about the rags, I'd do it no problem.

But, mark my words, it would be littered with subtle references to debt repayments, how rich City are, Massimo Taibi, Juan Sebastian Veron, Singapore Reds, automatic cup scheme, 100 years as a united-free city etc etc.

So I don't really have a problem with it. He's only doing what the rest of us would do if we had the opportunity.

Why should he have the opportunity?
