Raheem Sterling - 2016/17 performances

Finally the lad is not being ganged up on. City now have sane on the other wing and teams don't know which one to double up on. Before he was marked front and back which stopped space to run into and 2 players plus subs to "tactical foul" him. He could never get a head of steam up or build confidence. Now with sane, kdb, sterling and gabby jesus there is to much pace to give 1 player individual treatment to stop the team without 2 others breaking on you. He is going to rocket in performance and stats now.
 
I feel sorry for the guy. Gets fouled a lot and all the kicks in the legs and then receives a yellow for a dive that never happened. Game after a game after a game. I can't even remember the last time he actually dived. Probably when he was still in Liverpool.
 
It feels like not just one or two but all ref's as an association have it in against Sterling. Probably not seen anywhere else in the world where young talent of the country is undermined by country's ref's in such a way.
 
Love Raheem, but didn't feel he was on it after the (bullshit) yellow. Probably would have subbed him earlier but Pep seemed to not want to change too soon
 
He's played a lot of minutes this season(only kolarov has more) so expect him to get subbed off a lot during second halves throughout the rest of the season. He was a bit quiet today especially in the second half but I suspect he's still one of the first names on the team for pep going forward.
 
The ref was shit today, that booking was an absolute disgrace.

Sterling did well again though, I always love it when he's on the ball, looks like he can always make something happen, and his movement off the ball is superb, it's clear Pep is working well with him. Another who will be world class if he carries on like this.

Agree the booking was a disgrace, but I thought he was well off it today and should have subbed much earlier.
