He impressed me,not only with his ability but also with his workrate and attitude,i'm also much happier with his more direct approach - using his raw pace to beat a man,its a great attribute that frightens the life out of defenders,as the lad who got sent off found out.
He's very dangerous,a constant threat,he must be one of the first names on the sheet these days.

He'll be world class as soon as his end product lifts to standard. Just has to keep working away at it.

Best City player by far this evening, ran them ragged and his attitude is exemplary. It's great to see, he's shown he's got a mental fortitude about him after being written of by many, including yours truely!

This is the Sterling we all hoped for when we signed him. It was an excellent performance and he was not overawed by the stage in any way. He showed his ability and at 21 years of age you just know he's got a huge future ahead of him under Pep's leadership.

I echo many other posters when I say he was the best player on the pitch for us, head never dipped, always wanted the ball and was a threat whenever he got it.
Also worked his socks off for defense, well done Raz

credit where it is due, Raheem was very good last night. In a team that was outplayed he shone. I've been critical, overly so in retrospect.
What he did to Alba, Digne and Mathieu was frightening last night. They had to double up on him at times.

Nolito is a non entity though... like Navas but without pace

Don't be silly, 5 goals already in 10 appearances, nothing like Navas.

He's turning into a fine player and was one of the standout players again last ngiht. Pep's guidance has brought his game up a level on last season and it's frightening to think how good he could be in a few sesons. We've got a star in the making.

Our best player last night. Seems to thrive in the Champions League, although his domestic form has been pretty good too this season! Great to see after a difficult first season at the club.

He was great last night, second half especially remained positive despite the situation.

Watched it with some Barca fans last night.
They were impressed with him and thought if he had more self belief and ambition he could be a top player.

Sterling didn't have a particular good season last year, but somehow he was always very good in European matches.
So far now Sterling has been brilliant in most matches, as he was last night.

Once again, far superior on the right side of the pitch. He stood out as the player who grabbed the game by the neck & came deep to pick up the ball and drive at Southampton today - never quite paid off but looked by far & away the most likely player to make the winner happen today. Shame no one else put in the shift he did to help him out.

Once again just like Barcelona, everyone else dropped off and he was the one player pushing forward.

He's been immense this year.

If Pep wants to win games he needs to stop sticking him out on the left. I get he wants to play both Sterling and Sane but that just isn't going to work.
