Raheem Sterling - 2017/18 performances

Its strange how much stick Raheem gets for his finishing when you look at possibly our greatest ever playmaker in Merlin. Merlin is world class in every department except goal scoring. If I remember rightly that trannyboy at the scum was just as inconsistent but because he hadn't moved from one of the media darlings was allowed to improve his finishing in peace. If it had been Raheem who was at fault Monday night he would of been slaughtered in the media. He took the volley really good and I am hoping that we go back to 4-3-3 on Saturday. The 3-5-2 has similarities to last season when Pep was trying to shoehorn Gundogan in.
 
Last year, like KDB, Sterling was clearly being overplayed and it was obvious how fatigued he was at times. Hopefully with the new additions that should be less of a problem this year.
 
If I'd be City manager he wouldn't start only when he really needs a rest. Him, KDB and Kompany are only 3 players I'd have permanently printed on team sheet. OK, Ederson probably too. We're twice a team when he's on the pitch.

C. Ronaldo has said in the past that the best advice he ever got was, I think, from René Meulensteen who told him to just get the ball on target and stop worrying about the perfect finish and putting it right in the corner. Sterling could possibly benefit from the same advice as a lot of his missed chances are literally missed, not saved.
 
Twice in a week he's bailed us out, and people were calling him shit all game.

I love him, we will miss him vs. Liverpool.

he passed it out wide and he got in the right position to get the shot off. a winning goal does change that. if he does nothing all game and then gets the winner it changes that. fed up of hearing constant moaning and criticisms at sterling. others players were crap swell and didnt get a winning goal...

Everyone was poor, Sterling won us the game. Perhaps just appreciate the fact he's won us 3 points like you would any other player instead of being a ****
