He didn't play poorly, but he completely squandered at least 3 great chances that would have won us the game. Needs to pull his head out

He didn't have a bad game at all.

He was absolutely brilliant in the first half, his movement and link up play created pretty much every chance as we can circles around them, and his dropping into midfield is why we completely dominated that area of the pitch. His winning the ball off Pogba lead to the first goal, he assisted the second, and he also played the passes that lead to Gundogan's shot which hit the post.

We lost the game because the defence let in 3 cheap goals and the refefee denied us 2 clear penalties and a red card. Yes Sterling missed 2/3 big chances, as did Gundogan, but Sterling is the reason we were 2-0 in the first place.

His finishing needs work but he's got 21 goals this season, up from half a dozen last year ajd hes just turned 23, he's not going to go from the kid we saw under Pellegrini to a clinical scores every chance finished in 9 months without hiccups along the way.

I shoukdnt need to remind anyone that his late game winning goals built our lead in the autumn, anyone who comes in here slagging him off can do one.
