Of course he should have done better with those two chances, but overall he had a good game - particularly first half.

We were 2-0 up and fucked it by defending like complete amateurs. Sterling can't be blamed for that.

Overall had a fantastic season but today he has robbed us fans, of one of the best moments of our lives. There is simply no excusing those misses, he hasn’t even managed to hit the target. A professional footballer to be so uncomfortable kicking a football is unbelievable.

Gundogan also missed two good chances.

I'm more disappointed with falling apart, yet again, in just a couple of minutes.

The defending in the last 2 games has been calamitous at times and we seem to get punished every mistake we make.

I don't understand why on defending of freekick crosses, teams set up so high and Goalies don't come off their lines.

I see it with every twte, not just us. But don't understand how this is not seemed more protective.

Yeah that highline was giving me the shits. I just find it incredible we contrive to collapse so quickly and 2 games on the trot. Is it nerves, can they not concentrate for 90 minutes, were we knackered after the first 45 and unable to maintain the intensity. We've gotten ourselves into a magnificent position but these last two games have been so frustrating. This is also on the back of losing at home to Basle in the second leg before the International break.

All those things you mention. especially the closing down, must be due to fatigue. I think they are feeling the physical decline creep in which subsequently will affect them mentally also. It;s been a long hard season and I feel it may be catching up with us. I am now a little worried about how we will react/cope in the next two matches. Two games that will be very, very hard.

Perhaps it's impossible to play the same way at the back whilst Komps is being used instead of in-form Stones, and Delph is out.

I'm still pretty optimistic about our defence, we'll have an immense backline next season when Walker-Stones-Laporte-Mendy combo is implemented. The only weak spot in terms of passing is Walker, but his drawbacks could be hidden.

This is Raz's best goals tally in a season throughout his career and he has improved other areas of his game under Pep (still a bit way to go), yet he is still wasteful in front of goal.Still can't be totally blamed for the defeat.
