Raheem Sterling - 2017/18 performances

Thought he gave a full effort performance last night and was all over the pitch like Fernandinho. Out wide trying to take people on, tracking back in midfield when possession lost & trying to win back the ball.

You could see he wanted it right up to the 90th minute - need more of these performances from him in the long term.

Can’t fault his work rate last night. He was a different person. If only he had more composure and ruthless in front of goal, he would be devastating.
 
If he could somehow sort his finishing out he would be outstanding, his misses cost us on derby day and at this level you gotta take them when they come. This is why Barcelona were so scary when Pep was there because they would break with pace, crisp passing and 9/10 times the ball would end up in the net, no messing about. When players are expected to bust a gut for 90 mins and they are they want to see players at the top putting the ball in and when that doesn't happen it affects confidence.
 
not a fan...i got slated for saying joe hart wasnt up to the job. this prima donna needs to fuck off out off out of our club . my opinion .
 
Some absolute bollocks about sterling on here. He's consistently been one of our best players all season. Any talk of is buying an extra winger is to compliment him rather than replace in my opinion, if we get another wide player who can score at the same rate as Sterling i can see sterling through the middle a lot more. Helps us cope better when Sergio's out for sure
 
i could stick a pin in bluemoon forum contributors and 35 per cent of them would have a better shots to goal ratio than raheem sterling ...obv against liverpool that would esculate.
 
He’s arguably our most dangerous player. It’s just disappointing that such a good player has astoundingly poor end product.
 
I wish some of his critics on here would pipe down, some of the crap on the match thread was just ridiculous. Wins the pen, scores a goal and his excellent movement keeps getting him into positions to miss chances where others wouldn't even have the chances to miss.
