Institutionalised racism, I’m afraid!

The way in which they all now act like they had no part in the way he was treated is a piss take. Most stories talk about the racist abuse he's received while failing to see the sheer hypocrisy in the way they've treated him. I think young black players should start to call out the journalists and editors that run these stories. As it stands they hide behind the name of the paper.

Brilliant piece about him and the hypocrisy of the media by Eni Aluko in yesterday's Guardian.

Raheem Sterling is a better player but is still the man the media criticised

As a contrast to Eni Aluko's great article, here's a really shit one.

In which Jamie Carragher

- Compares him spitting in a 9 year old girl's face to Sterling's agent saying he wanted to leave Liverpool.
- Says it's Sterling's fault the media targetted him because he wasn't honest enough before.
- Spends 10x talking about how great he was with dealing with the media compared to the new generation.

Love the fact the Scousers are now squirming big time , their initial hate campaign has failed miserably , many players would have let the hate affect them but Sterling is a tough cookie , he has proved every doubter wrong and if he collects a few more winners medals at the end of the season it will ram all the taunts down their throats . If there ever was a role model to keep on fighting against all the odds then Raheem is the perfect example , it will be a scandal if he doesnt collect the POTY award , and if he had a red shirt on his back we know it would have been nailed on

Thought he was so so against Fulham, however, what is setting him apart is his now ingrained threat.. some things didn’t come off yesterday, however, his perseverance and willingness to keep going is scary as fuck to opposition. He doesn’t lie down, which is a mental strength developed under pep.

It won’t always go his way, but he now accepts that and it doesn’t impact his game like it used to. Just a top level player who’s getting better in all aspects!

Can't agree more, big transformation in his mental state
