Not necessarily... I proper loved Sterling until he did that Madrid photoshoot before we played them (and right after the CL ban was announced). That's got nothing to do with a media campaign against him. And I don't hate/dislike him now, I just don't feel like there's an emotional connection to him in the way that there's a connection to a lot of other former players. And that's ok! That connection doesn't have to be there with every great player.... That's why I wish people would stop forcing it when it clearly isn't there. It's not necessary.

Got fuck all to do with 'connecting' with fans.

It is to do with fans who are calling him out as dog shit and they are glad he has gone.

A guy who scores and assists that many times, clearly isn't dog shit, that is the point, the whole point and nothing but the point.

The shirt non signing is poor on his part. That could be an American Blue who had a once in a lifetime chance to get his shirt signed of one of our top ex players. It wouldn't have hurt him to have signed it

I agree he should have just signed it, he was overthinking it, if he had signed the City shirt and a Chelsea fan missed out because of it, he would have been hammered by Chelsea fans, it was a risk he didn't need to take.

He probably should have signed it, especially seeing it was in the US and as I know all too well that fan won't have many opportunities to go to matches or interact with players
